interesting that Jorge Posada wore # 62 in his rookie year... I don't remember that...

 

anyway, I found a site where it lists every jersey number ever used by the Yankees, and who wore it, and when...

With so many great players since 1929 when the Yankees first wore numbers, I think we're one of the top clubs for retired numbers.

 

The Yankees have retired:
