I figured it out, when I visited Montreal myself.

is a bus number starts with 1 it was acqured back in 1990ies

if 2 - in 2002. The second digit is encodes a "year"

(5 for 95 or 2005)

 

is it corect?

 

This type of series and meaning starts from 1991, so 11! :cool:

 

Here's the full list!

Classics:

11-001 to 11-100 = 1991

12-001 to 12-101 = 1992

13-001 to 13-100 = 1993

14-001 to 14-181 = 1994

15-001 to 15-140 = 1995 <-- B)

 

LFS:

16-001 to 16-180 = 1996

17-001 to 17-180 = 1997

18-001 to 18-096 = 1998 / 1999 (Last batch of 1st gens)

21-202 to 21-275 = 2001 (21-201 was a pilot bus, returned to Nova Bus)

22-201 to 22-425 = 2002 / 2003

23-201 to 23-239 = 2003

24-201 to 24-307 = 2004

25-201 to 25-248 = 2005

26-001 to 26-086 = 2006

27-001 to 27-030 = 2007

27-501 to 27-536 = 2007 (EPA 2007)

28-001 to 28-132 = 2008

28-701 to 28-708 = 2008 (Hybrid)

29-001 to 29-071 = 2009 (Last batch of 2nd gens)

29-072 to 29-148 = 2009

29-149 to 29-156 = 2010 (747 EXPRESS Bus)

29-801 to 29-858 = 2009 / 2010 (LFS Artic)

30-256U = 2009 (EPA 2010 demo)
