Digging in the crates.

I was doing research on David L. Gunn who use to be (MTA)`s president during the colorful 1980s and I found an article dated February 7,1987 from the new york times detaling the 63rd street connection during the construction process. To some of you this might be old news but its part of (MTA) history depicting hints and ideas from the 1980s (MTA).:)

The plan adopted yesterday, however, envisions a connection between the tunnel and the nearby Queens Boulevard subway lines just east of the Queens Plaza station. It also foresees the conversion of two of the four one-way tracks along that route into two-way tracks through the use of ''reverse signals.''

3 tracks for one direction and 1 for the opposite? That'll be a first. It doesn't appear to be built that way though judging by the present track diagrams.
