Starting Monday, F Train work will partially close stops in Brooklyn until May

In this situation, the best compromise is to run a part time (not 24/7)shuttle bus between Smith-9th St and 15th st-Prospect Park West stations weekdays until around 11pm. The B68 does not need to be extended to the 7th Ave-Park Slope station.

 

While weekends and overnights (with 30-minute 'owl' headways for rest of this project)the B61 runs more frequent service.

The ride is smooth so far except for the slow down at Smith–9 Streets (even though the doesn't stop there). The hard link from the express track to the local track right before entering Carroll Street feels pretty smooth; one wonders if the rides would be so smooth if the switch curves were gentler and used movable frogs.
