Confused about a G.O.

Recommended Posts

So I was at Court St. (R), and noticed this poster:

No Coney Island-bound (R) trains at this station, weekends.

The (R) isn't even supposed to go there! Anyone know what's going on?

It just means there is no south bound service, it's not complicated if you think logically.

If station is shared like Borough Hall-Court St, poster warns passenger coming from (2)(3)(4)(5) to indicate Brooklyn-bound (R) is not available at this station.

Just like when (E) rerouted on (F), some (C) stations indicate no (E) at this station.

As said before, It just means no Southbound Service at that station. However the error is unprofessional to say the least. Sometimes I wonder if anyone even proofreads some of those signs, I've seen errors worst than that.
