Just got an email from the TM and got this interesting tidbit:

A Blast from the Past

The HBO series Boardwalk Empire returns for a second season this September, and, to celebrate, the show is running a 1920s vintage train on the 2/3 track from 12pm to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays through September 25. For a more exciting fall venture, board one of the Transit Museum's Low-V vintage trains for our Nostalgia Ride to the Bronx on Sunday, October 23, from 10am to 3pm. Enjoy a guided tour of Woodlawn Cemetary, boxed lunch, and more! (Members $50, Children 3-17 $35; Non-Members $65, Children $50)

To make a reservation, please call 718-694-1867.

Is there a general schedule for these Saturday trips? I'd like to take a vintage subway trip (as there was a NY Times article about it), but I don't want to spend hours waiting in a subway station.

12-6pm, be at one of the following stations:

-Times Square-42nd St (northbound)

-72nd St (either direction)

-96th St (southbound)

The train runs between these stations all afternoon

I'll call about employees...

Employees get a discount, I think the tickets will be $35 or so.

He should definitely get a discount but it might cost more than 35 because they raised the price for everyone to cover the costs for the boxed lunch.
