Joe C Posted September 10, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2011 Just got an email from the TM and got this interesting tidbit: A Blast from the Past The HBO series Boardwalk Empire returns for a second season this September, and, to celebrate, the show is running a 1920s vintage train on the 2/3 track from 12pm to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays through September 25. For a more exciting fall venture, board one of the Transit Museum's Low-V vintage trains for our Nostalgia Ride to the Bronx on Sunday, October 23, from 10am to 3pm. Enjoy a guided tour of Woodlawn Cemetary, boxed lunch, and more! (Members $50, Children 3-17 $35; Non-Members $65, Children $50) To make a reservation, please call 718-694-1867. SouthernRailway Posted September 24, 2011 Share #4 Posted September 24, 2011 Is there a general schedule for these Saturday trips? I'd like to take a vintage subway trip (as there was a NY Times article about it), but I don't want to spend hours waiting in a subway station. He should definitely get a discount but it might cost more than 35 because they raised the price for everyone to cover the costs for the boxed lunch.
