IntExp Posted December 25, 2011 Share #5 Posted December 25, 2011 Boy, did I love those good ol' redbirds- it's a shame they're no longer running, but what can ya do? I had good memories of those Redbirds, since I rode the 7 everyday when I was a toddler, and later, a little kid- I fondly remember seeing those trains zoom by 103rd St-Corona Plaza,
+Young+ Posted December 25, 2011 Share #6 Posted December 25, 2011 a) Sad day. I am surprised in a way that the Transit Authority did not save 2 of those cars for the TOMC. Not only that, in my opinion, it would have been nice to save the "Toot-toot, Tootsie Goodbye" sign and put that in the Transit Museum for the public to view.
