Elmhurst Track Work

On sunday I saw alot of MTA LIRR crew walking up and down the wooden stair the built in Elmhust. Is this regular summer track work or it is builting the Elmhurst station. Also MTA says good service when only one track is avaiaable

PW is hourly in each direction on the weekend.

 

Single tracking between WOOD and SHEA (does the railroad still call it SHEA interlocking?) would still only be one train each way every half an hour, no problem for that strech or the wrokers.
