Career change into MTA: It is a good idea?

Wow! I didn't know there are fellas like myself in IT that want to get out and do something more exciting, like TA, Bus, ect. Always wanted to be a BO or TO since I was a kid, but got into electronics after high school, went into telecom, now IT. I too myself need a secure, exciting career with benefits. Since being in IT from '05, its been a roller coaster with jobs and pay. This field is not what it used to be, companies use today gone tomorrow hiring someone for less pay to do extra tasks. Got my bids in for Exams 2301 and 2608! Really need to get in.
