JubaionBx12+SBS Posted August 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2012 My Bx12 +SBS trip was quite fast going eastbound today and I realize a couple of changes have led to that. The Eastbound stops on Pelham Parkway were on Pelham Parkway South instead of the main road. That's a good thing being that less traffic got in the way but there was traffic flowing on the main road, despite whatever construction they're doing. What was the need to adjust the route like that? Also the stop before JCPenny going Bay Plaza bound was repositioned. Instead of it being on the side of I-95 it's now across the parking lot from Staples and PC Richard and Son. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mark1447 Posted August 25, 2012 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2012 Your Answers here: Bx12 SBS, Bx29 and Bx38 route changes due to construction All times Due to long term construction, bus stops and terminals have been relocated at Bay Plaza. Buses will operate as follows: Eastbound: Regular route to the New England Thruway Bartow Av exit ramp, continue straight on Bay Plz Blvd, left into the parking lot behind Raymour & Flanigan and layover. Westbound: From layover, right onto Bay Pl Blvd, straight on Bay Plz Blvd to Coop City Blvd and regular route. New Bus Stops Bx12 Eastbound: On Bay Plz Blvd, far side, Coop City Blvd (across from Pier 1/Daffy's). On Bay Plz Blvd, far side, Coop City Blvd (across from Applebee's/ Raymour & Flanigan). Bx12 Westbound: On Bay Plz Blvd, at Applebee's (First stop). Bx29/Bx38 - Bus stop relocated from Applebee's to Raymour & Flanigan. For Pelham Parkway: Bx12 SBS buses detoured due to construction All times Buses detoured from Pelham Pkwy East main road between Bronx Park East and Stillwell Av, then will operate as follows: Eastbound: Buses will use the service road.
