NYCTA Locomotives

I thought everyone might enjoy a few views of TA locomotives I was lucky enough to capture along the IRT Broadway Line. I was dating my wife-to-be at the time and she lived in an apartment equipped with a living room window facing the 238th Street Station, providing me ample opportunity to observe the operations above Broadway!

Thanks for the kind feedback, folks. I appreciate it. I worked diligently to photograph the 1, 2 and 5 Lines during the mid 80s just prior to delivery of the newer generation of cars so I have many images of R17, 21, 22 and similar classes of equipment. I'll be happy to post more as time permits.

Tracknut, the 52 was a group of four R37 units, numbered 50 through 53 inclusive. The irregular configuration of the hood was its "as built" appearance.

Regards,

Earle
