Earle Baldwin Posted August 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2007 I thought everyone might enjoy a few views of TA locomotives I was lucky enough to capture along the IRT Broadway Line. I was dating my wife-to-be at the time and she lived in an apartment equipped with a living room window facing the 238th Street Station, providing me ample opportunity to observe the operations above Broadway! (231st St. Station-2/9/85) (231st St. Station-10/19/84) (215th St. Station-10//6/84) Enjoy, Earle:)

Earle Baldwin Posted August 13, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted August 13, 2007 Thanks for the kind feedback, folks. I appreciate it. I worked diligently to photograph the 1, 2 and 5 Lines during the mid 80s just prior to delivery of the newer generation of cars so I have many images of R17, 21, 22 and similar classes of equipment. I'll be happy to post more as time permits. Tracknut, the 52 was a group of four R37 units, numbered 50 through 53 inclusive. The irregular configuration of the hood was its "as built" appearance.
