Fred G 63 Posted August 7, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2008 These are from 7/22 and are taken around dusk at CONN Bridge over the CT River between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme. I included a couple of ShoreLine East shots as well, although they might be more appropriate to Metro North. The movable part of this bridge is virtually the same as the old Thames River Bridge in New London. New London bound Shore Line East train, a GP40 pushing 4 ex-VRE Mafersa coaches. For this leg of the trip, probably one coach would do. Same train crossing the Lieutenant River Acela! Coming back from New London, this SLE train will end up in New Haven. Good night Thanks for looking.
