Joel Up Front Posted August 6, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 6, 2013 Up until about last week, I was able to watch YT videos without any problems but now certain videos will either only buffer about halfway or about a minute in (out of a five minute video) or not buffer at all and end after one second. If I use another browser (which I really don't want to do) I have no problem. Flash and Shockwave, whatever YT uses is up to date. I really miss the pre-Google YouTube. You could literally find anything...

Joel Up Front Posted August 6, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted August 6, 2013 did you install "adblock" add-in? That worked for me for well over four years on FF 3.6 (which I never upgraded from until last year) and I enjoy not having half my bandwidth being wasted on stupid pop-ups, ads, and the sneaky "pop-unders." http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/Why-Is-YouTube-Not-Working-For-So-Many-Users-125152 That doesn't apply to Optimum users, surprisingly. I also have family who have been using YT on FiOS with no issues.

Actually, I have Optimum, and I can't seem to view some videos at all. Tried using IE 10 and the problem is still there.
Turbo19 Posted August 7, 2013 Share #6 Posted August 7, 2013 Youtube in general has been problematic in all the 32 bit browsers I use. It's obviously out of my control, so what's bothering me is that regular maintenance on the site sucks.
