I was curious because if they have a reason to believe your on a drug of some sort they would do some further action....even if u were negative. Innocent till proven guilty. Maybe give you a extra RIDE at most. But what else could they do if you test clean
SubwayGuy Posted March 12, 2014 Share #5 Posted March 12, 2014 If you test NEGATIVE that means you are not showing signs of having used drugs. That means you PASSED. If you test POSITIVE and are not currently an employee, that is the last you will hear from MTA. If you test POSITIVE and are currently an employee, one of two things will happen: -If you are probationary, your employment will be terminated. -If you are not probationary, you will be enrolled in the drug program. Your continuing employment is subject to successfully passing through the program. Drug tests have an acceptable threshold - you won't test positive because you walked by someone smoking pot on the street and happened to inhale a breath of secondhand smoke. If you test POSITIVE, you've exceeded it, which is almost impossible without doing drugs yourself (or taking a banned substance), or being in the direct company of someone who is smoking something for an extended period of time.
