DS4Ever Posted January 24, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 24, 2016 Hey there i opened this new thread in which the theme solely concentrate in the Pioneer Valley Transportation Authority (PVTA) which covers Metropolitan Springfield, MA (the second biggest transit agency of Massachusetts after powerhouse MBTA of Boston) This transit authority serve Springfield as well as satellite cities like Westfield, Holyoke, Chicopee, West Springfield, Northampton, Amherst, Agawan, Deerfield, Longmeadow and Enfield, CT (only the border area terminate in Mass Mutual) The Peter pan bus terminal in the Metro Center area of Springfield serves as the primary hub of PVTA routes. ..other hubs include the Holyoke transportation centre and the UMASS campus in Amherst Accessing this bus agency is quite easy as one route (G5) ends in Enfield connecting (with no transfer option a new fare is paid) CT Transit rush hours only Make yourselves at home and comment anything that has to do with PVTA
NewFlyer504 Posted January 24, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 24, 2016 PVTA had been noted to be copying the style of the MTA with the single blue stripe, but was moreso based on the idea of the line it was operating on was color-coded
Lordsaitamaboss Posted January 24, 2016 Share #3 Posted January 24, 2016 I actually liked the effort they made when they created the X90 and X92 crosstowns but in the morning they need to adjust the X90's schedule it has too much time on the schedule so much so that the bus had to take a break mid route yeah it was that fast. DS4Ever Posted February 21, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted February 21, 2016 In thepast PVTA used the recognize MTA (New York City not to be confused with the MTA of Maryland and Los Angeles LACMTA) colour scheme. ..but i'm in accord with railbus63 might've been copyright of GMC as the first RTS were shipped to NYCTA (Today's MTA) and thus had the colour scheme defaulted on all its RTS also the Flxibles had its colour scheme painted at that style (to note the flxibles we're the debuting bus to debut the very known colour scheme of powerhouse MTA) PVTA was a baby company at the time so it didn't had an official colour scheme. ..is when time flies by it introduces a new colour scheme and logo of PVTA at block styles. ..and the recent modification of today's PVTA logo and colour scheme than is noted to be one of the most prettiest colour schemes in Massachusetts and possibly New England tied up with the RIPTA colour scheme of Rhode Island Powerhouse PVTA has to note the second highest ridership in Massachusetts (after bigger giant MBTA) and has a higher demands of ridership on the Springfield- Holyoke/ Chicopee corridor Despite one of its routes to connect (NO TRANSFER) To a CT Transit bus (CT-H 905 At Mass Mutual) the PVTA G5 doesn't run very frequently and its last bus leaving Springfield towards the border is at 5:15pm and leaves Enfield at 6:15pm (right after the CT-H 905 last run departs Mass Mutual)
