Anticipating Second Avenue Subway

Recommended Posts

Heading up to the Second Avenue Community Information Centere (been there for three years already, and somehow I'm just now getting to go see it).

A series of maps int he current modified Taruranac version (1979/1996) showing the service changes; the first one being 1939, which of course is showing the els (thinner black lines), as well as the Nassau loop, and only 8th Ave. service on the IND. However, the lines running along Houston and Rutgers (The (E) and probably the (C) express) are made orange, even though the actual "trunk routes" are above W4.

Then, coming from the fireworks on Roosevelt Island on the 4th, I notice they already have a SAS "Q" train across the platform at 63rd-Lex!
