Postponing a call back

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering how (if) you could post pone a call back? I can’t get a hold of anyone at 180 and the voice mail is full. I talked to the union and they said they had no clue and not there territory.

Long Story but I am an OA employee with 11 months on the job. I got called for TA 9604. I’m also about to take the rules and signals exam for LIRR so I’m trying to post pone the TA call back for as long as possible to go over to LIRR and if I don’t make it (or like it) I can go back to my position on 9604, is that even possible?

Any insight would be amazing!
Thank You!

Have you tried reaching out to the "higher ups," whose contact information can be viewed here?

And yes, as per the "Civil Service" Rules and Regulations, you can restore your name back to the list a maximum of three [3] times. The list for 9604 doesn't expire until November of 2023, so you're good for the time being.

Good luck!!
