R-1/9 Anniversary Trip to Coney Island

Brighton Local

Recommended Posts

I chased the trip today. As most or all of you are aware of, the trip went to a few destinations ( not the Rockaways ). AFAIK it started at 42/8 ran to the Transit Museum, then to Lefferst Blvd, then back to West 4th St, then via the North Side of the Manny B, 4 Av, West End to Coney Island. Coney Island was the lunch stop. From Coney Island, ran on the BRIGHTON LOCAL tracks back to manhattan. Im assuming once Bridge approach, ran via North Side again to Manhattan, then up the A from West 4 St, to 207 , then back down to 34/6 via the D.

Note: for a few hours because of a down tree on the Brighton Line ( Pablo let me in on this, he gets the credit lol ) Coney Island Bound Q trains were re-routed down the 4 Av and West End Lines to Stillwell.. Pretty interesting to witness Q'S approaching Stillwell from the North IN REVENUE service.

**However, I want to emphasize that the sun today was extremly strong , so forgive me if the pix aren't perfect**
