MTA New York City Transit

Service Alert

Posted on:12/22/2008 1:14:15 PM

Due to a train with mechanical problems at the Queensboro Plaza Station, there is no (7) train service in both directions between the Woodside-61st Street Station and the Times Square-42nd Street Station.

As an alternative, customers are advised to transfer at the 74th Street-Broadway Station for(E) ,(F) , (R) and (V) trains for service to and from Queens.

Please note: Long Island Rail Road is cross honoring MetroCards at the Woodside Station

Wow!

Ugh, not again. They really need to put some money in the (7) and fix it so there are not all of these constant switch and signal issues.

Wonder if any A div guys could shed some light on what exactly happened...this was apparently a big deal, I heard announcements being made for it all day, even as far south as Fulton St. over an hour after I'd heard the first one.

I read on newspaper that (7) was totally out of service for several hours yesterday, and a lot of poor passengers complained because they were given wrong information throughout the whole time, nobody knew what was happening. Poor riders:eek:
