'89 Liberty MCI Posted December 26, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 26, 2008 Hello all. I know I haven't been around in a minute, merry Christmas. Anyway has anyone been noticing a slew of recent moves lately? Castleton's been getting New Generation O7s and we've been getting their low 6xxx. We have (that we didn't have before) 6000-6001 and 6003-6020 now. Also Gun Hill's been getting a bunch of our 6xx.
trainfan22 Posted December 26, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 26, 2008 Someone spotted an 6XXX Orion V at CS depot, seems like as more NG's come into service at CAS and YUK the 6XXX V's are being displaced to the three bronx depots and CS.
Q43 Floral Park Posted December 26, 2008 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2008 6021 is also at Kingsbridge, 6022-6025 are at CS. and 660,662-671 are at Gun Hill. up to 680 might be there as well. I'm doubting the Bronx will be seeing NGs anytime soon with these moves.
DOB2RTO Posted December 30, 2008 Share #4 Posted December 30, 2008 Well, I did say before when I was a B/O, that the union chair of KB said that KB will get screwed. He said if they get Hybrids there, it will be the old ones that already been beaten up by NYC streets, while The other Boroughs get new buses. Well it seems no hybrids are going there anytime soon. It doesn't matter, the 6000s are great buses, if maintained well. It's just alot of older folks use the buses in the Bx, and the year and day they take to get up the steps suck. If they want to keep 40ft high floors in the Bx so be it. If low-floor artics show up, KB and GH should get those first. WF has a nothing but 2003 models, so they don't get squat........
