R160 Posted May 31, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2009 A child somehow became injured in the 1st car of a Flushing-bound train this morning. It occurred at 52nd Street. There was no Flushing-bound local service between Queens-Boro Plaza and 61st - Woodside from 9:20 AM to 9:40 AM. EMT's and the Police Department arrived and took the child off the train and service continued slowly because trains were sent on the express track once it was cleared and that held up the local train which had stopped. Alternatives: For continuous service to Flushing, take a Manhattan-bound to Queens-Boro Plaza and transfer for an express Flushing bound train.
