TransitJusticeForAll Posted May 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2016 Since there's upcoming proposed plans for the Culver Express during Rush Hour, Coney Island bound Train platforms are getting rehabilitation. RTS9000 Posted May 25, 2016 Share #3 Posted May 25, 2016 On the left it says this work is unrelated to the F express study That is because the F express is planned on the Jay St-Church Ave section, not between 18th Ave and Avenue X (where work is being done). It's just a coincidence that trains happen to be bypassing the platforms where work will be done.
Interested Rider Posted May 25, 2016 Share #4 Posted May 25, 2016 This is the work that is holding up the implementation of the F express service and is mentioned in the report. There is a mention that F train riders will be able to take the N in the Coney Island direction as those stations are open. The N line is under renovation as well as the Manhattan Bound platforms are closed at Avenue U and 86th Street. (I have deliberately omitted Kings Highway as the F Line station remains open in both directions and Manhattan Bound N riders at that stop will have continuous access for that reason). If the work on the southbound F line stations is completed and the Manhattan bound work begins but the Manhattan bound N Line access has not been completed, what happens to the N Line riders?
