  1. When NFI eventually wins the larger chunk of this next order, I just hope they don't rush on their buses. The current XD40s are rattly, unreliable shit. Also, too many of them (Ulmer Park ones, anyways) have more jerk in the transmission than a west indies food spot.

In this city, I would be surprised if nothing at all was rattly

  2. What is LBSS and what is it suppose to do?

Load Based Shift Scheduling. It's a gear shifting program available on Gen IV Allison transmissions. When the bus is empty/on a flat gradient the bus will be in fuel economy mode. As the load/gradient (uphill) increases, the bus will go into performance mode to give the bus the required performance. This optimizes fuel economy.

  3. lol... They're scattered all about on the Jackie Gleason lines but I would think they'd be more popular on the B9 since that's the line that I'm used to seeing a lot of them on.  The B4 has mainly new buses along with the B16.  I would imagine the B35 would have some old ones too since that line needs a lot of buses.

From what I've seen the B35 is mostly 2011/12 C40LFs. Not one old one in sight.

  4. Why do the C40LF's keep having problems especially with its doors. Some doors get stuck especially when the bus is lowered and then they have a hard time moving. There some other problems with the C40LF's another noticeable one is on a lot of the buses when the A/C is on the buses make this very loud roar and its worst when it's idling. I just came off of 557 not too long ago and that bus sounds like its 12 years old. The roaring was loud.

Maybe just the one's in Queens. Haven't seen any in Brooklyn do any of the above except the load roaring with the A/C on.
