  1. Best scene from the movie "Flight". Pretty intense. http://youtu.be/C9B1DZXL-p4
  2. Between Android and ios, Windows was the worst I ever had. Hardley any good apps, a lot of the ones even worth downloading they had the nerve to add an expensive price tag to them. Don't even get me started on those bs facebook and youtube "apps". They were practically the same as going on facebook and youtube through the phone's browser. But of course, like Orion stated, to each his own.
  3. iPhone users need to come out of the dark ages and seek onto the light with Androids. These innovative features on the S3 are just far more superior.
  4. Which position earns a higher pay? Flagmen or T/O? What process do you have to go through to be a flagman?
  5. I have a three day old RailDriver that I'm willing to sell for $190. Basically brand new. The manufacturer's price is $199.95 plus $20 for shipping. So that's $30 you're saving right there. PM if interested.
  6. RailDriver should be delivered by tomorrow ! Up next, a good gaming laptop.
  7. You'd be amazed at how huge these things really are once you're on the catwalk. A good spot to view them at grade is the dead-end street just north of the Ave H station, east of the tracks. And thus why I never really took interest in the London Tube, small ass trains, can't take 'em seriously.. Now these.. whoa. good size comparison in this pic.
  8. lol I know exactly what you're talking about. I've yet to come across a 32 without the high-pitch tone to it. Thou I actually love the R32 horns. Along with the NTTs, they're my favorite. I love how it starts off so high-pitch then ends low-pitch. On another note, I love when going through a fast area (40mph plus), the T/O spots a flag, starts blasting the horn and putting the train in full service.
  9. 5898 has the sickest sounding horn I've heard yet. Pretty distinctive from the usual R46 horns I've came across. Speaking of horns, the 68s/68As seems to have the most horrible sounding horns.
  10. ^True. On another note, why are there timers when heading up the Jamaica Bay Crossing, wouldn't make more sense to have them when heading down..?
  11. I heard C/Rs can hit the same amount as well, thou they'd practically have to live on the job meaning 12 hrs a day, six days a week. Awh man, that's just torture.
  12. Is it actually enjoyable operating any shuttle train...? Back n'd forth back n'd forth..
  13. Would the MTA automatically disqualify you for a position as T/O if you have Theft of Services on your record?
  14. A lot of you guys on here really know how to give a good argument. A few that comes to mind are 'realizm', 'Via of Garibaldi 8' and 'B35 via Church'. Thus why I never really participated in argumentive discussions back in highschool, I wouldn't have much or really know much to say to back up my claim or opinion. I guess college prepares you for this kind of stuff?
  15. Saw a pack of Guardian Angels on the J last night.. Thought that was only a Chicago thing.
  16. Ah yea, those 68s/68As really tend to bounce all over the place when going through those switches.. Coming into Sheepshead Bay n/b is a pretty rough/fun ride as well. You have a few ballsy operators who don't start braking until they enter the station as opposed to the majority who starts braking a car or two before the platform..
  17. What's the point of those timers between Clinton-Washington and Franklin Ave on the s/b? Seems like it'd be on top of the list of some of the most useless timers in the system... I remember someone on here stating that other subway trains wouldn't be able to survive on our tracks. That got me thinking about that section between Lafayette and Hoyt, very rough ride going through those curves, even on the 160s..
  18. the original Harlem Shake.. perfect example at 0:59.. not the new crap you see nowadays...
  19. Simply put the best performance I've seen yet. Not the best quality but definitely worth the watch. http://youtu.be/mASgjQ5W7Vg
  20. that moment when the T/O has his cab door open and you're glad to see that just a few more people realize that trains are not "driven" or don't have steering wheels...
