  1. True thou in the situation I saw earlier the cops were already on the train. Some guy jumped at Crescent St as a Jamaica bd train was entering the station. The turnstiles at that station are very visible to the T/O. Soon as he came on, a couple of officers came from the next car and told him to step off the train...
  2. Stupid question but are T/Os told to radio C/Rs or nearby officers whenever they see someone jump the turnstile?
  3. yeaa so an interracial couple (white man, black girl) gets jumped by a group of three men in LIC... oh how I wonder why the names of the attackers weren't even mentioned........
  4. So the other day I came upon an R160 with only one of its headlights working... And as I board the train, the HVACs were bringing out heat, not cool air... It didn't help being that that night was already humid as hell...
  5. damn this engineer was not playing... low visibility along with slippery rail conditions must make for an interesting experience...
  6. the single back in 2000, "Better Off Alone". damn... listening to this song got me reminiscing the early 2000s...
  7. I thought train ops weren't allowed to blow the horn after 7 or 7:30...? Dude blasted his horn past midnight...
  8. love taking that curve just pass Hewes St heading northbound via J express, looks harmless as hell but the cars quickly jerk to the side, catching a lot of people off guard... then right after it takes the curve you hear the fast clickety clack of the tracks... has to be one of my favorite runs in the system. wonder how'd it would feel on a set of 32s in the last car...
  9. where the hell is Kidd Patt when I'm on the train...? n'd lmao at 1:27...
  10. Yepp, that train you see up there is part of the same train you see below... Average length for our railroad trains range between 6,500 to 7,500 ft... Thou it isn't uncommon to spot 10,000 ft plus trains in the plains... Lets not forgot these loads aren't hauled by "locomotives" that run on overhead wires like in other countries, but real locomotives - diesel electric. Our passenger train system may not be the best, but our freight system is in fact the best in the world.
  11. So much track work has been going on over the past few days... Not one day has passed this week where my ride wasn't hit with the 10 mph restriction and blowing of horns on the , , , and / ... Not gonna state where n'd when but if it wasn't for the fast action of the T/O I had a couple track workers probably would've lost a limb or worst... How the hell are you not gonna have your flags set, especially knowing the T/O won't see you guys 'till he comes over that hill... Train was hauling ass too...
  12. Are the crabs at Coney Island safe to eat? I'd think not due to our shitty waters thou then again I couldn't find anything on this...
  13. I remember reading thru some thread a couple years back in which they discussed the consequences if a C/R were to be caught "fooling around" on the mic. Thou I'm honestly not to sure if they get suspended thou... And I agree, he has the perfect voice to do radio IMO.
  14. from my understanding even a little joking around like this would get a NYCT C/R suspended or worst...?
  15. really thought it was gonna be crap with these lil dudes but they killed it, especially the kid at 1:00...
  16. don't know how it is for the other models, but why is the horn on the 32s faced towards the right?
  17. damn, this T/O took the curve at 20 coming into Stilwell... despite the heavy jerk he didnt start braking until the timers came along...
  18. lol C train operators looking a 'lil sophisticated with those 160s... big jump from a 32 to a 160...
  19. pretty ironic how I live less than half a block from the J thou I haven't been on a 32 as of yet... those things can really scream their way into/out of the station... wonder how the J line ops feel about them...
  20. I always thought the pantograph gates fit the 32s the best... Adds to that gritty look. As for the slants, it definitely made for a more interesting/intimidating look. Especially when viewing them from the side where the slant ends would meet.
  21. I never seem to catch the ones as good as them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn63daESMhQ
  22. I can never take the IRT cars as serious as the BMT/IND cars due to their size...
