Just saw an advertisement from NJT on my way home tonight, highlighting the results from recent customer satisfaction survey.
It says 8 out of 10 people recommend NJT to others, where highlights include
- stable fares (don't have much to say about this)
- direct communication (not really)
- on time performance (... seriously?)
- availability of seats on bus (.... Really, seriously?)
I wonder if NJT is really desperate to get some good public image... Because I can testify that those points are highly BS
1. Saw a howell bus, 8219 to be exact, on 167T on Tuesday. I was really shocked to see that bus around 4PM... I wonder if meadowlands is doing okay...
2. I miss seeing random destination signs on deadheading buses that comes into PABT at PM rush hour. I blame the clever devices for this atrocity..
Speaking on clever devices, I wonder when mybus now will come online for 1xx routes in north jesery...
Just saw D4500 on 166T going northbound on a Saturday. I hope this stays consistent because saturday express buses get packed... I really hope they would add some more express on this line...
speaking about LED signs from a Nova, I wonder if destination signs from retired CNG fleet will be recycled as well... since they are relatively new...
Looks like HBLR has some new announcements.
1. Please hold on as train departs the station
2. Please let the passengers exit first
and NJT completely ripped off MTA's "see something, say something announcement." Instead of "MTA Employee" it says "Light rail employee."
Saw a Neoplan driving into gate 211 and nearly lost my mind over it... but fortunately, it was at the wrong place and quickly pulled out of the lane. I don't ever want to see a Neoplan on 166T under any circumstances...
recently saw a NABI with a farebox on 154. It didn't have fairview garage logo and it was obvious that the bus was missing the sticker that says exact fare only. Is fairview short on buses?
It's a record. 166 was 40 minutes late, and according to the screen, it took more than 105 passengers... (obviously the bus didn't have 105 passengers at that point, but was still packed to the max...)
166T didn't come for more than 30 minutes (at 10:30), around 11:10 bus from Fairview came and I wonder what happened? Even the 165T departing at 11:05, which is notorious for coming very late, came on time...
p.s. some passenger who didn't know about change of gate after 10PM took the bus. He took the bus to palisades park but his destination was Old bridge... poor guy
NJT needs to have dispatchers by the 300 level gates after 10PM at all the time. 166T came to wrong gate (325) and people went to that bus. Somehow, that bus became local and second 166T came at right spot (324). You can guess that line got messy and things got messy...
Where are the dispatchers when we need one? sheesh...this is not this first time
1. My friends took M15 SBS for first time and they were amazed by the "new system" a.k.a POP
2. That M15 driver forgot what the next stop was. He said at 23 st "the next stop is.......umm.....ummm....ummmmm....This is embarrassing"
