  1. Now that I think about it, why doesn't the MTA like having the manufacturer's badge on the buses?

Iv'e never seen a bus that was purchased and still had a badge on it, except for school buses, and very very few of the O6's up here. (Might even only be one lol)

  2. I know this is't MTA related but....

Today on the NX, a few people refused to sit down (They went through absolute hell with the supervisor when they tried to get off) so the B/O skyrocketed down that hill. It was like a classic 1970's San Fran car chase scene, except on an MCI.

  3. FASTRACK is happening on all BMT West End Lines but the (D). Gow do you substitute service?

Short turn (F) trains at Church Ave

Operate shuttle buses for the (R)

Send the (N) through West End.

Next: Due to an extreme heat problem, NTTs can not run on any outside sections of track.

  4. I assume the B/Os get tickets just like regular drivers, right? I think they should get at least a little bit of leeway, considering that they have a schedule to keep and all the special circumstances that other drivers don't have to deal with.

Actually they are harder on B/O's because if they get in an accident, there are alot of people on the bus that could potentially get injured.

  5. I remember back in 7th grade that bus driver used to do it... never saw him ever since.

wait... I think he stopped short because those stupid kids would all lean on the back door. then again other times the bus driver would stop short just to make everybody go "whoa!"

Once on the M10 allegedly somebody leaned on the back door release trigger, and the bus came to an immediate halt and I banged my head on the windshield. The B/O kept telling people that the bus does it automatically, and she didn't do anything but people kept yelling at her and one person suggested I sue the MTA...

  6. R143's aren't compatible with the R160s so it doesn't make sense to move them off the (L). Now if there are enough R179s for the (L) to displace their R160s, I can see the (L) as R143/179 and the (J) taking the R160s and sharing those with the (M).

Looks like there are 63 R160's on the (L). It in theory COULD be done.
