  1. That'd turn the Astoria line into the most dangerous subway line, even if it didn't stop there. Someone in the prison would find a way down there. Maybe some does a Dufresne with the pipers.

Well actually, if it were to go through Rikers there would be a stop there, otherwise it could just cut through the water.

  3. With the SAS extension of the (Q) coming closer and closer, it is being rumored that the (W) will return, so Astoria can continue to have two lines. This will reverse all of the cuts done by the 2010 doomsday cuts. Except, the West End Line. The West End Line will still only have one line. So, why not extend the (W) down to Bay Parkway, to replace the (M)?

  4. Can i get one that says (A) 8th Ave Express To Far Rockaway All Times (C) Culver Local To Coney Island All TImes Except Late Nights. Late nights use (F) at Jay St-Metrotech (E) 8th Ave Local To Euclid Ave All Times Except Late Nights, Late nights use (A) or (K)(H) Rockaway Park Express To Rockaway Park Rush Hours. All other times use (S) at Broad Channel (K) 8th Ave Express To Lefferts Blvd All Times (JFK) JFK EXPRESS Non-stop to Aqueduct-North Conduit Ave. For JFK Use AIRTRAIN at North Conduit Ave.

  5. I have just gotten off the M21, and let me tell you, it was very dissapointing, For starters I had to wait twenty minutes for one. In my eyes thats just ridicuolus. One, I couldv'e walked and it would take the same amount of time. Two, this is the Houston St Crosstown. People completely unfamiliar with NYC or MTA, are going to take this bus. If they see it takes that long, they will get steered away from public transit. In addition, Weekday only service? I can tell you one thing for sure. There are bars in this area. People are more likely to drink (And get drunk and take MTA) on a Saturday, than a Wensday, which brings me to my next point. Service ends at 10 PM. As I said before, based on the area, this route can get alot of riders past 10 PM.

Until service is improved the M21 will continue to get 3-4 riders a bus, and will be a waste of the MTA's money. So, overall what i'm trying to say is, they need to improve the route, or cut it entirely.

  6. The answer to "What is life?" while some may believe is a hard or impossible question to answer, ideally it is realitivly simple. Ultimately life is nothing. Nothing, we ever do will ever affect anything in the grand scheme of things. We are just a couple billion people and a few trillion animals. Here that may sound like a lot. But think of the universe. Expanding for 10 billion years. Things we never will know about are out there. Having said that, yet again, nothing we ever do will affect the universe. This therefore limits the idea of "potential". Giving every person, no matter how big an accomplishment, the same inferior status. Even if we nuke ourselves, and blow u the world, and make it non-exsistent, the universe will still go on. It will not stop. Our solar system may collapse, but outside of our galaxy, we can never do anything. And our galaxy vs the universe. No matter what you do with your life, it won't matter. Go tell someone you love them, but remember: it won't matter,

  7. NEXT

Due to a fire at Grand Street ( B)(D), the entire station is closed and impassible, while at the same time a 12-9 happened on the uptown Canal Street ® track, closing off all uptown trains (the downtown side is fine).

Uptown R Via Nassua St, 6th Ave Exp and 63rd St.

B To 57th St Via Broadway Local.

    F Via 53rd St

    M Suspended

G Extended to Forest Hills 71-st St

    D Runs in two parts:

    CI to Whitehall

    205th St to Metropolitan Ave

  8. There are no crossovers after Morris Park. When anything major happens along the line, the line gets shut down and after awhile, shuttle buses appear.

No what i'm saying is they would run in two parts. They would use the express (center) tracks from all trains coming south to Phelam Parkway, then have the shuttle terminate there on the regular tracks, using the switch that is just south of Gun Hill Rd.

  9. Next:

Water main break at 5th Avenue and 14th Street has closed the Union Square (4/5/6/L/N/Q/R) and 6th Avenue (F/L/M) stations and trains can't run into those stations, nor can the B/D run on the express tracks under 6th Avenue. PATH is also affected by this.

F,D, re-routed down 8th Ave Local, C runs express, B,E, Suspended. Q from 21st Queensbridge to Jamaica Van Wyck via 57th St.

M14 A/D/S (S only runs this route and is a special which does not have deviations (i.e. Chelsea Piers on the M14D)) Start at WTC, follow the E to 14th St, where the A/D go to their respective terminals, but do not terminate then go down 14th st, S Goes down 2nd ave, stopping at the 1st ave L station, looping around via Stuyvestant Town, north on 1st ave, then down Allen, A goes down Ave A, D goes down Ave D, then loops around Grand St to Essex St, all buses then go down Delancy to Wilamsburg Bridge, where the buses then go to Metropolitan Ave, to Loimer St L. L train runs from Bedford Ave to Canarsie. M from Metropolitan Ave to W 4th St. Franklin Ave Shuttle extended to 59th St via CI. <Q> service from Whitehall Rd to CI. N Shuttle will operate from Astoria to 34th st. F Operates Local on Queens Blvd. G Extended to Forest Hills. R Operates between Whitehall Rd and 95th St (Reduced Headways).

    Next:

A nuclear warhead hit the Empire State Building and rendered all train service in Manhattan unusable.

    Sorry, I just had to.

  10. When's the last time you've seen a train terminate at Pelham Pkwy (Dyre)?

I know, but I proposed a scenario in which it would be needed. A stalled or de-railed train at Morris Park. The train could use the express tracks to Phelam Parkway, then operate the Dyre Av Shuttle on the local tracks using the switch at Gun Hill Rd.

  11. CDTA's busiest route The 12 (Washington Ave), and the still used, but not as much 114 (Madison/Washington), the 11 (UAlbany Shuttle). Notice a pattern yet? A Dayglow concert at the Amory, had such a high college student turnout, they caused route shutdowns. The 11,12, and 114 all experienced delays ranging from 20 minutes, to over an hour. The routes didn't actually shut down, but minus well have. Some buses stayed at Collins Circle as long as 45 minutes before being able to depart. At about 6PM, CDTA finally doubled and even tripled up buses on those routes. Because it was the end of rush hour, they had to take buses from other routes. This in turn, caused massive delays (ranging from 15 minutes to an hour) on many other routes. As more buses become avaliable, the 10 will start doubling up on buses.
