The B103 as is seems to work fine. Why the has their little fetish for killing off lines I will never know. That's the sort of shit I expect from the a**holes running NICE.
I'd say that "fetish" is more predominate amongst certain members here, but I'll refrain from starting a flame war.

Please, almost everyone knows this place.
And you wonder why there are so many "dead accounts" on here.

The irony is killing me...
Ignore it dude...

Eventually the B103 is going to become a victim of... exactly what BreedDekalb is illustrating - Being Split.
Which I think is gonna be a big mistake if the MTA does that.....
.....Which defeats the main purpose of why the B103 was even created, but w/e.....
The northern "split" of the real B103 (meaning b/w the junction & downtown brooklyn) wouldn't flourish (as to why, see response to Turbo, below).... They would get rid of the northern half & advise that riders take the subway, or the B37..... This would actually help the B37 more than an adding of stops along 3rd/4th av's on the B103... That saves way more money than splitting the current B103 & having the 103 & the 37 running along 3rd.....
Not even in theory, due to the fact that commuters aren't all too fond of 3-legged transfers.....
The folks coming from areas east of the junction on the 103 would not bother putting up w/ xferring to a slower version of the current 103 north of the junction (which is his "B103", as shown on the map) - They would simply make their way to Flatbush av subway ....
Personally I simply think that many of Brooklyn's bus routes are outdated, and could be revised slightly to an extent to better serve passengers whenever possible.
That aside I do see the point you have established regarding the mode of choice in the equation. Now would that better serve passengers, it's up for debate but at any rate it might save some cash on the MTA's part.

I like the Xcelsiors and all, but man, can they last for 5 years?
New Flyer is such a ripoff...
If they start falling apart they'll likely get a midlife, but only time well tell.

the b102 will be the local from canarsie to flatbush junction and the b103 will be the ltd from downtown brooklyn to flatbush and i created it

Great in theory if there is a three legged transfer from either route, which you have seemed to taken care of.

Seems to be where this is leading...
If you ask me a separate local is needed, but part of that is foaming.

Eventually the B103 is going to become a victim of the slowing and fold into a local.

This is a combination of BxM1 (3 Av and Lex and UES) and BxM2 (6 Av and 7 Av and UWS) to make it same as the rest of the Bronx express bus. Riverdale is only part of Bronx that has a seperate East and West side bus. All other part only have 5 Av/Madison Av express bus.
Alright, now I get what you are saying.
Personally I think there is sufficient warrant for the separate services, but I'll let other members input as well.

Looking at Bronx bus idea forum. I saw someone come up with an idea for Riverdale Bus Proposal thread. I start with my first proposal, combine the BxM1 East Side and BxM2 West Side BxM18 via 5 Av/Madison Av
My new BxM18 will be like this
Riverdale - 23rd Street route via 5 Av/Madison Av/Maj Deegan Expy
Riverdale - 23rd Street route via 5 Av/Madison Av/Inwood
Riverdale - Wall Street route with bus operate with no stop in Manhattan north of 26th Street (s/b) and 29th Street (n/b)
This will be most efficient way to give Riverdale express bus
If moderator want to merge this into this thread http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/topic/34506-bronx-bus-proposalsideas-thread/page-137 do so
Truthfully that's not much different than how the current Bronx Manhattan routes are in their current form.
Some more details would be nice if you are still backing this proposal.

I don't intend for flame war here at all. I had idea about riverdale buses and also wanted to make little joke too.
LOL, you're okay. This will just merged more likely than not.
Also if this pisses off a certain someone it was not in vain.

VG8's gonna have your head for this....
Screw it. No one cares.

Riverdale Bus Proposals Thread? What the hell are some of you thinking?

LMFAO!
Some truly can not tell a joke around here. It's astounding.
What, now do I have to type in joke posts that I'm baiting you guys to fall for bullshit? Seriously, like the fifth time this week this has happened.
Request to lock.

Most North/South lines in Brooklyn are well used and are candidates for articulated buses.

The centipede is a pet, which brings me to ask what do you name a Centipede anyway? It's bit strange, but if it was me in that case it would be Mac 10 or Lightning for obvious reasons.
Crazy mofo.

The B61 is more direct. Let us not underestimate bus lines now.
But the current service is fair for now.

Some weird shit.

We are...?? To your second part... That's correct...
Since you're going by the logic of relevancy I assume either you or someone else (most likely you) will be creating a dedicated "Riverdale Bus Proposals Thread", no?

The higher ups form the read Qj's proposal to abandon the for increased service and thought the idea was genius.
All f**king hell would break loose and Brooklyn residents would be rioting in the streets. It would be total f**king anarchy.

All this just for a store? Is this Whole Foods inside a shopping center or something?
Free standing.
In retrospect it's somewhat justified as there is no direct transit to the immediate area, but Whole Foods would be the only location of interest in the immediate area.
The B61 isn't so far down being on 9th, so I think it suffices for now.

Nice day today.
Why yes it is.

Brooklyn Division Bus Proposals/Ideas
in New York City Bus
Posted
Some that come to mind are those that terminate haphazardly in areas that were much more dense, such as the B45, B48, and others still I feel should be altered to better serve destinations that have increased demand, B1 & B49 serving KCC is a good example.
That taken into mind I'll say this much before it blows up in my face, I don't utilize Brooklyn routes on a daily basis in contrast to others here, so if that makes the opinion any less valid so be it.
