  1. Damn whippersnappers..... When I was young, I had to WALK to school!! 3 MILES... in 2 FEET OF SNOW... with 2 KNAPSACKS!!

    (Spoken in old man voice)

Gen X version: I had to ride the (K) with transients trying to sell me coke in tagged up subway cars that smelled like piss, and I couldn't even pull out my walkman without someone trying to pull a fast one.

Gen Y version: I had to rely on the (C) and it's ancient subway cars suffering without heat in the damn winter and without air in the summer, all the while people were trying to offload LSD and shrooms.

  2. Honestly with the amount of kids complaining that there's school today...I can't even. I can't even imagine when this rascals start to have work and there would literally be no such thing as a 'snow day.'

I suppose in that case it'll be different as earning a wage is somewhat of an incentive, but as in all else in life over time more responsibilities are tacked on, it's less incentive and ultimately the bitching begins again.

Now if no one wants to work in less than favorable conditions I'll take my ass down there and outsource them at the first opportunity I get.

  3. aye, don't hold back on my account....

Dude (Yuki) always had a knack for suggesting that bus routes be diverted to specific places where you'd get virtually no usage to them.... Namely, museums, fire stations, art exhibits; stuff like that.... The guy makes these spur of the moment suggestions to bus route changes for a one (or a couple) time benefit for himself, which is selfish.....

Haha, yeah, but as long as he sees it as benefiting others I suppose it's just another harmless proposal.

Harmless until the planners start reading here and ignorantly follow some of these word per word. But it'll never happen.

  4. Union is only 4 blocks north and 1 block to the right. It isn't that far. We aren't gonna reroute the B61 just for whole foods; in that case we may as well just reroute every bus to a supermarket that is not near other bus routes.

That's like saying rerouting the Q23 onto Yellowstone Blvd then the side streets just to serve the C-Town in that area (on Yellowstone/Exeter), if you think about it (and on top of that, you want THREE routes going to that supermarket). Yes, whole foods is a common market, but that doesn't warrant service there.

But I want to know: Why specifically this location?

    Read below.

Because he wants to go there, that's why......

I remember him making a thread asking about how to get to that Whole foods over there around Smith Haven.....

I really don't want to be an ass, but around 5% of his posts are somehow related to Whole Foods, in the process beating out Via G by a 10:1 ratio.

At the very least no one called him out in it here, like they tend to do in the NICE section.

  5. I just said the 60th tube was OOS lol. And the (E) via the (G) would be a foam fest. That's why I really thought this through & made sure that would be the only answer lmao.

And the MTA ordered this special subway car that eats it's way out of tunnel blockages of all shapes & sizes to clear the cotton candy at the end successfully resuming normal (E) service by Monday.

Wow, you got me, for real.

I'm off to hide in shame.

  6. They're violent thugs. This has nothing to do with pro-union or anti-union, it's pro-SEIU or anti-SEIU. This (purpleshirts blocking streets) shows once again that the SEIU is a radical organization who doesn't know the meaning of a peaceful protest.

You want to sit there on the median of the road over there and make fools of yourselves as it is to get your word out fine, that's your 1st Amendment right (though the Port Authority has constantly shown no respect for the 1st Amendment but that's another story), but you can't block people from getting where they want to go and infringe on their right of free movement.

Get back to me when you're tried of your employer undercutting you at every opportunity.

  7. Here's one because I'm bored out of my damm mind lol....

It's the weekend & due to unknown sources of giant cotton candy blocking the entire the 53rd Street line from Queens Plaza to 7th Ave-53rd Street all (E) trains are cut off. And the 59th street tube is OOS due to construction so (R) trains run from Forest Hills-71st Ave to Jamaica 179th Street & from Lex Ave 59th and onward Brooklyn bound. The (E) runs local via Queens Blvd to Queens Plaza & The (F) runs express to 36 street like usual. You cannot re-route the (E) 's down 63rd Street due to construction there too. Note: (F) train headways are decreased due to 63rd street construction. How would you re-route the (E)?

    Run the (E) via the (G) ?

Shit, I'm so out of whack with the internal operations of this bitch, lol.

    F**k, I know I'm wrong.

  8. And these teabaggers in Congress and their idiot corporate supporters like to talk about those in poverty looking for handouts.... dirtbags! Friggin liars!  Greedy heartless scumbags! Look at your upper class fundraisers and lobbyists and politicians who are stealing funds for lavish vacations. Loopholes are besides the point, it is disgustingly unethical.

Now look who's grabbing up the 'handouts'. Not just the poor in the decimated minority. Been that way for as long as I remember.

Editorial: Don't listen to some of these insidious extremist right wing politicians, they are wolves in sheeps clothing causing this American capitalist model to go on the verge of collapse instead of making it work for all Americans of the middle class who they are trying to literally eliminate to widen the gap. Government shutdown over a bill anyone ? Truth for the mind.

Simply put the disconnect has never been as high before.
