  2. Got an email today, medical is on the 13th and it confirmed next class is on April 23rd.
  3. Anybody else get a notification for for the April 23rd class.
  4. Thats the second time someone has mentioned a hiring freeze within transit. I was down at Livingston on 3/10/18 and one of the HR hiring managers said that there was a hiring freeze going on, but when you walk outside to the waiting area it was packed with people filling out pre-employment paperwork and taking pics for there ID cards. My list # is in the 2300's and Im still waiting to hear something.
  5. @chris127 When you say the instructors says that 2 or 3 more classes was after us and that was going to be it. That means there done with the list.
  6. Cool, at least its a step in the right direction
  7. Congrats, Where do you have to report to on the 1st day
  8. +Young+ knows his shit. I've been on here since I became a B/O. The info on this site spot on.
  9. Yeah, I already mailed the letter. It should hopefully get there by tomorrow. I was just blindsided by this. Cant figure out how I got processed and bounced off this list at the same time. They already have my info.
  10. I don't know if anybody has ever had this happen to them. On January 29th I was supposed to report to 180 Livingston St. For pre employment processing. I ended up losing the letter. So I waited to see if another one would come in the mail. I then decided to call HR and tell them what happened. The young lady on the phone told me to come to Livingston on February 27th. I went down to Livingston filled out the pre employment packet and did the drug test. After all that, they said wait for response within 3 to 90 days. I just happen to call DCAS hotline this morning. When I entered my information, the recording told me I'm no longer on the list and that I am eligible to put myself back on the list by writing a letter stating to them what happened. I'm trying to figure out how could this happen when I went down to Livingston filled out all the paperwork and did the drug test. Does anybody know how long it takes for them to put you back on the list.

No problem, I hope your feeling better. Im already on top of it. I called Ms. Rivera this morning. She specifically told me to go to DCAS tomorrow morning and have them put my name back on the list and to get a receipt. She also made it clear to do it before the week is over. I didn't question her as to why cause I think she was busy. I called DCAS myself this morning and the gentleman on the phone said I can com in anywhere between 9am-5pm. My list number is 2320-2340

Got it. As long as you stay in contact with Ms. Rivera, and you follow her instructions, you should be fine.

      Stay safe!!

  13. Just saw in the NY dailynews an advertisement for people to write letters to there location politicians to put pressure on MTA to fix the the transit system. Hoping it will lead to more hiring, quickly.
  14. Congrats on making some headway. Im just confused about the provisional part. I guess you will find out more when you get down there. I think they will offer you a permanent spot down the line, don't know when. I also applied back in NOV 2017, haven't heard anything yet. Im just taking a guess, would a provisional spot even give you a list number, I don't even know. Keep me posted on whats happening. Im waiting myself.
  15. What did you receive a letter for? Im reading the Notice of Examination for 8606, but I dont see anything saying it was provisional.
  16. Wow 6 weeks, I thought it was 2. How does he like it so far.
  17. I would call them (347-643-8229/30/31/32). I got my letter in the mail, missed the date. So i called and spoke to some directly in HR who told me to come in on the 27th of Feb. I got down there at 7am sharp and was done with the paperwork, walking out the door by 1:15pm. So now Im here just waiting.
  18. Quick question, how long is/was your class. I know the next one is on the 12th. Trying to get an idea of how long the classes are. I did my first drug test on 2/27/18 so waiting for a response.

  20. They got it, the person on the other line probably hit the wrong number for your S S And then said oh you're not even in the system. I'm just waiting to hear back from them. I applied for trackworker also. Went down on Tuesday took the first drug test, now waiting.
  21. Yeah, I filled it out too. Go A letter saying I'm not qualified. Sent my appeal in. Just Praying and waiting.
