  1. Name all the super expresses you know of. -Queens Plaza to Forest Hills . -Barclays Center 36th/59th Street . -Columbus Circle to 125th Street . -34th Street to W4th Street . -72nd Street to Times Square . -14th Street to Chambers Street . Add on to this list please.
  2. : Discontinue service to Ozone Park. : Extend service to Ozone Park, replacing the . Rename the Late Night shuttle to . : Run express to Jamaica-179th Street. : Rebuild the tracks so that trains can run via Culver Express so it doesn't interfere with train service. / : Alternate trains extended to 4th Avenue local, then run via West End Exp. peak direction to Bay Parkway during daytime hours. (I know it sounds stupid for to be 4th Ave Exp. and West End Local, and / to be 4th Ave local and West End Exp.) / : Extend service to Jamaica-179th Street. : All trains serve full route at all times except late nights.
  3. Yes there can. You can reconstruct the entire thing. Build a new wye switch to connect it to the existing Nostrand Line, and after they get out of there, then the tracks can rearrange itself and build a new diamond crossover right before... whatever station is next.
  4. True, but that level junction isn't in revenue service exactly. Are there any others? Btw, at the Nostrand junction, would it be better for the to have a level junction with a slip switch for the (and vice versa for northbound), or is it better the way it is, change onto local, then branch off?
  5. Then why does it just sometimes let trains continue with delays?
  6. I had the weirdest dream ever. So I was on a or (I forgot which) and it was traveling between DeKalb Ave and Barclays Center. So before Barclays, the and were on separate tracks. So I was Doing a RFW, and we were on a crinkly and old, broken elevated structure. Man, the tracks we were on weren't worthy enough to be in service. And I went downhill at like 60 mph, then sharp turn onto mainline, and to my surprise, there was a level junction where the two joined. Which makes me wonder, are there any other level junctions in service besides Myrtle Avenue-B'way? And the track maps say that the Lenox Avenue Line stay in the same place while the just randomly goes off somehow. I have a feeling that that is a level junction too maybe?
  7. ... I don't think this will work though, but, replace subway with bus?
  8. Pretty much like the 8th Avenue Fastrack. : Runs via the between 59th Street and W4th Street. : Some northbound trains terminate at Kings Highway. : Runs via the local between 59th Street and W4th Street. Some northbound trains terminate at Chambers Street. (Drop off and go. Pick up and go.) : Runs via the line between 5th Avenue and W4th Street.
  9. Maybe that is the reason, but still, it is called "empty".
  10. If they do, are the Next Stop announcements gonna be the same as the or the ? I'm guessing the since the took the .
  11. Oh. Forgot that the Concourse Yard is connected to both the and .
  12. Here's what I would have done. And whatever about #1. Suspended. Runs express between 145 and Canal Streets. Alternate northbound trains terminate at York Street. Runs local between Norwood and Canal Streets via 8th Avenue, then terminates at Canal or Chambers Streets. In Brooklyn, runs between Whitehall Street or Court Street and Coney Island. Runs via the line between Jackson Heights and Canal Street, then via the between Canal Street and Jay Street-Metrotech. Terminates at Chambers Street or Essex Street. Runs via the line to 21st Street-Queensbridge. Limited trains go to Astoria.
  13. Assuming that Sandy never came: Runs in two sections between Norwood and Atlantic Avenue, and 9th Avenue and Coney Island. Runs between 59th Street and Coney Island. runs local in Manhattan Runs up to Jay Street-Metrotech.
  14. How are they gonna take the R62As on the to the ? I don't think there is a connection. Then again, the isn't connected to any line at all, except the Astoria Line. And did the R188s on the for testing and the converted R142As on the get onto the ?
  15. Can't you just short turn at Essex Street? Or is the switch that takes the to the outer track out of service on weekdays? And won't the just put in more congestion on the ?
  16. It should've stayed there. Now the train yard are gonna still treat it like trash and it's gonna need some repairs again.
  17. The 6th Avenue line has been closed down. Trains cannot pass between 7th Avenue , 2nd Avenue , the Chrystie Connection , and nowhere where the 63rd Street tracks are close to the 6th Avenue line. I'm not sure if the 8th Avenue line can handle it. Services affected: . 8th Avenue is delayed unless you steer some 6th Avenue service away from it.
  18. How is the (7)'s R62As gonna get to the ? There is absolutely no connection to other lines (besides to the northbound line at Queensboro), hence the fact that it was chosen for CBTC. Are they gonna be taken off the tracks at Corona, then shipped to Westchester where they get rerailed?
  19. I ride them from Canal to Forest Hills, board no more than one car away from the conductor's cab, and after around Woodhaven, it is damn empty. Considering that there are only 3 more stops on the line...
  20. During rush hours, the gets extended to Bedford Park Blvd. At the same time, the will run express in the peak direction. As of the and , the and usually run normally, but during rush hours, the will run express in the peak direction. The trains also use the 239th Street Yard, so since it goes via the line to get there anyway, might as well run in service, so the runs to Nereid Avenue to enter the 239th Street Yard. The reason it doesn't run express on that stretch (I dunno why it doesn't run express at least between 180 and Gun Hill Rd, maybe it is due to the delay caused by the switches) is because Nereid Avenue is a local station, and even if there are switches from express to yard, it won't be able to enter the yard easily while providing as much service as possible.
  21. What exactly is a rail condition? Don't understand it.
  22. I know, they are used and I find them very useful, but after Woodhaven on the Forest-Hills bound ®'s, I find them very empty.
