I predicted this like 2 weeks ago... But in my prediction there's 3 depots involved... Jamaica ENY and Ulmer Park...

East NY wants the whole 4800s order....

UP wants RTS if they were to give up those 4800s

East NY has LFS's that actually aren't there's but inorder for them to turn them over to Jamaica.... Jamaica would have to give up some RTS in return...

I could see Jamaica 5100s in either ENY or UP real soon

I agree the should just leave the 4800s at UP and when it's time to retire the 6600s-6800s they should call dibs and the amount of bus that the they retire from the new order

They never wanted them in the first place, and all they do is complain about them all the time. ENY ended up getting the 6600's that were originally supposed to go to Ulmer Park. ENY would have been the depot to have all RTS, but that ended up being Ulmer which had RTS buses only until the test program was created.

Question when we talking "who wanted them" is it the driver themselves who never wanting them or the maintenance crew who fix them or somebody higher ?

The R44s used a higher brake pressure than other SMEEs, so it was basically in a category within a category. Couldn't run with anything.

Always felt like the R44 had the best brakes. The driver never really had to break hard to stop or slow down coming into a station
