Also, I saw a Manhattan bound train bypassing Kings Highway, however it was empty. Any ideas on where it went?

Probably because the FIND screen already has ads on it.I still never understood why the R160's never got the LED advertisements from the R143's.

I notice the propulsion doesn't have a dip in pitch and is monotone at the end, kind of like the R160 Siemens, and not like the R142A's 143's and 188's.

For me, it's:
1. R142A/R188 and R143
2. R179 (I feel like it's a mix of Siemens and MITRAC 1580C)
3. R160 Siemens
4. R142/R160
If the R110A would count, I would put it as #2.

I think the N and the S in Not In Service is bolded. It's the same font, but without the bold. The font on the side signs is different than the 143/160

NO not the FIND SYSTEM I'm talking about the interior signs that display "THE NEXT STOP IS".
The interior display on the ceiling looks longer and sharper-edged than the R160's. That really stands out for some reason.

Exactly! There is a quite obvious difference between the R160s and the R179s from the look of it.

service operates in two sections: 34th St-Hudson Yards to Court Square, and Woodside-61st Street to Main Street. operates between Woodside-61st Street and Main Street.
Shuttle buses run between Court Square and 61st Street, and between Court Square and Ditmars Blvd

What's up with the orange ??? I have never heard of that before...This is what they tested on the R110Bs
See Lance's great work here:
I sure hope that Lance will be able to do more at some point.

Wow! There's just one thing that really bugs me... The never mentioned anything about the to/from 86th street on their announcements. I guess it's because there are few trains there.

Well, the conductor did announce the running local to Prospect Park. My friends haven't used the subway for forever, since they all used to use the overcrowded B49. Anyway, this week I had to wait till 3 PM for the next local... It was 2:45 anyway, so I took the wait. The Brighton line has annoyed me for the past year. Not knowledgeable and risk-averse… I don’t see a bright, exciting future for these friends.

Time to bring this back to life after a long absence:
It's the spring of 2019, the tunnels are shut down for Sandy repair. The (Court Square) 23rd-Ely station is unusable due to a derailment in the station (though no other stations on that line are affected). At the same time, the former 45th Road (also now Court Square) station is having trains skip it due to NYPD activity on the platform (the trains are able to pass through but not stop there).
What do you do?
I would run the via 6th Avenue from West 4th Street via the on the 63rd St line and have the run local,
the would go to 57th Street, and I would extend the to its pre-2010 route to 71st Avenue, of course with full length trains. service would remain uncanged, except for some reroutes to 96th Street.
As for the , service would remain unchanged except for the skipping of Court Square.

I'm going to go bash my head somewhere.
I'm just going to pretend that the R179 order didn't even exist. Can Bombardier screw things up even further?
Actually, can we just finish this order up?

I rode a R68 today, and the maps had the in it and were dated November 2016.

I've had the same happen to me, except for the fact that the was the one who pulled up on the Manhattan bound local track on the Brighton Line. I told my friends they would make the same stops as the , but they wouldn't get on. LOL.I remember once, I was with some people at the YMCA and we had to get from 4th Avenue/9th Street to Whitehall Street to catch the SI Ferry. An train came on the local track, and they refused to move when I told them that for our purposes, it would be making the same stops as the ....so I boarded and waved goodbye.

Does Culver need Bway service though? 6th Av and Bway are very close in Manhatthan; even the via Culver is a better option.
Well, the goes to Astoria and Lower Manhattan, something that the can't do.

Yeah, it really isn't worth it lol.
Anyways... here's a link to the new BART cars running. The 179s could potentially have the same propulsion. (Not my video)
Well, What if this happens to the R179?
http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2016/04/22/new-bart-train-car-crashes-during-hayward-test-run/
Note that both the R179 and the new BART cars are both by Bombardier. Good thing it crashed on a test track.

Nice! Me too. Did you see that thread I made about Minecraft subway-related builds? You can share it there too. I haven't posted anything there in a while. My Minecraft IGN is Tony515. Anyway, I just went off topic in an off topic thread, so here is what I listen to sometimes:I do play minecraft. I make transit lines.

Hi! I am new to this forum, and want to request a few signs.
R160 Interior:

Overhead Platform Sign:

and Kings Plaza To Kings Plaza at all times except Sunday and Late nights, Other times to

I know this is a large order, so I don't mind this order to be done for a while.
May I have a FIND map as well:

Plaza via
Tunnel
Next Stop: Grand Street B D
Chatham Sq
Seaport
Hanover Sq
Court St R
Jay St-Metrotech R
DeKalb Avenue Q R
Atlantic-Barclays B D N Q R LIRR
7 Avenue Q

That's the order. Since it's large, take your time. I can't believe it's actually been 3 months.

In my opinion, I think that they belong on the Brighton Line. That is where they first started service, so I'd prefer them on the . In the late 80's, they first appeared on the and .
