correct and if you are found guilty you have to pay before you proceed

If the ticket is pending they are gonna tell you plea guilty and take the fine then put it on your application otherwise you will have to wait until the court date.

Would you remember how far back for employment are they asking for? I know some city agencies require all work history, but some only back 5-10yrs.
thanks!
They want you to go back until you finished high school or 18 if you turned 18 before you graduated.

Received ANOTHER letter to do ANOTHER pre-employment monday, did a pre employ in june and 2 piss tests this year, just did one on 9/7, that one is not even expired yet, what the hell is going on?
If you recently did one I would try and call Mrs Vargas to see if you really have to go in for another, 347-643-8218. I'll probably have a letter too and will be calling her myself. I went in for final processing september 20th but had to defer.

I just got to say that this is an opportune time to get in. I’m yard posting right now and a lot of TOs that I have been posting with have 25-30+ years and will be retiring soon. A lot of them are good guys but of course there are some “bad apples” in the bunch.
And did you choose to be a yard T/O or do you have to post to yards for a set amount of time before you can post on the Road/Lines

I got bumped up about 35 spots, but I deferred the sept 24th class so it shouldn't be to long a wait for me!

Once they make the list permanent they have to start calling folks from the top of the list again, correct?
Right but she said I had to take into account that they have already hired just about half my list number, I'm 55X so its a strong chance I'll be offered the first month when the list is made perm.

I was there today to lift my medical hold and defer to the next class. The recruiter said that they do plan to have a class every month for the rest of the year they just don't have a set date yet. She also said they are sporadically emailing people for the Sept 24th class cause it is the last Provisional class and they were told do what ever they have to in order to fill it. There are still 20 some odd spots open from what I was told. Building on to that she also told me that they are def making the list perm next month and all provisional employees will be switched over.

Sorry to hear that Medford, any idea whether you can clear that hold quickly by getting their paperwork filled out by the doctor?

Well one of you will be able to get in the sept 24th class. Got my email for medical wednesday the 12th. I'm gonna go so I can get everything out the way and be set but defer to october. Just not enough time it looks like to notify my current employer to cash out my PTO which I will need for the transition. 220 hours is nothing for me to fool around with...

They have you redo the application that they sent in the mail. They don't collect the brown packet until you are emailed for Medical and final processing.

I have to fill all that shit out again? Wtf I had all those details on a piece of paper for the first pre-employment. I'm gonna have to find all that shit again unless I find the paper I used before.
I was out by 950, it was fast not a lot of people today. The guy that called me made copies and handed them to me so I could just transfer the info. Could do the same for you

Went to take 2nd lab today, wasn’t bad, got out by 11:30, was told the next class is scheduled for 9/24/18. Should look out for email or phone. Good luck to you all, list number 5xx.
And what time did you get there, how long was the line? I'm here now about 10 people in front of me

I went 5/31 and got emailed for a second lab thursday list 55x. It might be that they are finally slowing down and evening out the list and preempolyment. Most likely if they don't plan on hiring you in the near future you won't get a notice for a lab. Another note, the email I got for second lab says permanent position not provisional like the letter I got in the mail. They may be moving closer to finalizing the list.

I've been playing catch up with this thread over the last few days and pretty much read the entire thing.
You guys have to keep in mind that the list has not yet been published and for some reason that is concerning me.It hasn't been officially published because they have made a mistake with grading one of the sessions once they have that fixed the list will be established

If you have no preference then the assistant conductor is probably the way to go. As a T/O in school car you have to pass certain tests with 100 or your out like you have to pass the conductor test at LIRR and your out. Put if your confident you can become a T/O then the you should be fine as a LIRR conductor. However if operating is something that you really want to do then holding out for T/O might be the best bet as the training for Locomotive Engineer for the rails can take up to 2 years training alone.

I received the letter with my list number and it also says that the final list would be established in June or July wondering if the list has been established if not how long it might take
All letters say that, however the list has not been officially established, it has been slightly delayed due to a scoring error on one of the sessions

The subway is split into 2 divisions. The A Division which is the numbered lines and the 42nd st Shuttle, and the B Division which is the lettered lines, the Franklin Ave Shuttle and the Rockaway Shuttle. The reason for the 2 divisions is that the tunnels and stations are built differently for each division. The A division has more narrow tunnels, more narrow cars, usually shorter stations and shorter cars then the B division which has wider tunnels, wider cars and usually longer stations and longer cars.B division trains can not fit into A division tunnels and stations however A division trains can fit into most B division tunnels and stations but since the cars are more narrow there would be a big gap from the platform to the train. Because of this the MTA maintains 2 separate fleets, 1 for each division. The B division has a more diverse fleet and usually requires more training.

Sucks cause we won't be made perm faster which means longer probationary period. However for me its slightly positive since I am 55x and so close to being emailed for medical. Establishing the list would mean them starting from the top which people can accept and might take longer to get to me. I'm just eager to start training Perm/Probationary or whatnot!
