  1. Howell just sent about 10 buses to Oradell. Numbers to come. Likely 21000-series cruisers.
  2. Rockland Coaches buses now inspected and road-ready, if they're not out on the streets already: 21199, 21202-21203, 21209, 21212-21213, 21216-21217, 21229 and 21237.
  3. These are the remaining Oradell buses, near as I can tell. 7412, 7586, 7605, 7668, 7690, 7695, 7703, 7705, 7712, 7718, 7727, 7229, 7750, 7755, 7781, 7823, 7853, 7859, 7866, 7870, 7881, 7926, 8033, and 8270.
  4. 22901 is now running on the 457. It had been exclusive to the 452 since it went into service. Now does 22903 take over on the 452 for comparison purposes?
  5. I think we are going to see a greater emphasis on 60-foot buses in the NJT system. Think about dedicated busways on longer routes. They already have more artics than they ever had when they were the Volvo B10MA and the Neoplan AN459, and now they're expanding using the 60 options from the 2020 contract, and they're going to test some electrics in that length as well. New Flyer has really been rocking it with electric buses in other cities and hopefully the NJ riders and staff will get a charge out of them too (hee hee). In a way, I'm glad NJT didn't go with Proterra. Their electric buses for Philly are just sitting there rotting, and I think someone at NJT noticed.
  6. 22118 only 22000 series cruiser not yet in service. 2023 D45 CRT's will prototype in summer and be mostly 2024 buses. 22902-22908 still in St. Cloud, along with maybe the first of the 60 artics which should be on deck.
  7. We are still waiting for 22114 and 22118, the last two D4500CT's to be delivered. Meanwhile on the New Flyer front both 22902 and 22903 are both still in St. Cloud. Nothing yet on the 23000 cruisers.
  8. 22114 is tracking in Pembina, and 22118 has not tracked yet. No idea when those buses are coming to NJ with the storms in that part of the country.
  9. Updates: 22104, 22115 and 22117 in Piscataway being inspected today. 22902 tracking in St. Cloud.
  10. VINs for 22901-22908 are 5FYB8FJ1XNB105300 through 5FYB8FJ12NB105307. New Flyer electric was trotted out to the press on Tuesday, and should go into revenue after training is completed in October for drivers, mechanics, and local first responders.
  11. Hearing from a reliable source that the 2023 Cruiser allocation of 91 + option buses will be fulfilled by the only bidder, MCI, with D45 CRT diesel models (not the Low Entry). These buses would be assembled at the New Flyer facility in Crookston, Minnesota, the new home of the D series.
  12. THIS JUST IN TO OUR NEWS DESK... 22089 delivered with NJT colors and white back. Deja vu all over again.
  13. the only two buses at ADD have been inspected today - 22053 and 22055. Meanwhile, 22901 arrived at Newton Avenue yesterday and is taking a tour of Camden today.
  14. The only routes at Westwood are 165 (with Market St.), 167 (with Meadowlands) and 168.
  15. Oh, and while I was on hiatus, NJT began operations out of Westwood on the evening pullout on September 2. They have 100 MCI cruisers on their roster, all pulled from Oradell.
  16. Also in the board agenda, NJT has plans to rehab 200 of the 549 NABI transit buses from the 2012 and 2013 model years. Those buses will receive new power trains. interior seating, paint and exterior decals, plus any related components to keep them on the road for a few years more while newer buses are being made.
