I didn’t get called into medical yet, but I do have high bp which is controlled. I got a doctors note for my job last month but I’m afraid the date might cause a problem since it’ll be probably 2 month old by the time/if they call me for med.

anyone get put on hold for high bp? wondering if a docs note would pass it or would my pcp need to fill out a mta clearance form.

2nd. PE was awesome, in at 730 out by 1040 ish, confirmed there is a class for July and August.

I would say FDNY, I was part of exam 2000 that didn’t make it due to the mishap and now I’m over the age limit and lost my chances. It was a dream job and somehow I got lucky with having MTA as a plan b. But if I was in your position I wouldn’t skip a beat with it, 100k job, a second family with your squad, more demanding job yea, but you signed up for it for a reason. Not everyone can run in when one runs out. If that’s your calling, choose it. If you can’t, stay with MTA.

I think you are right, I remember back in PE Vargas did mention she receive classes in quarters. If she’s approved, it’s usually every 3mo then wait until more dates are approved.

off topic, is anyone getting weird notification to the posts? im getting 4-5 emails for the same post for some of yall. but also we all should keep in mind many people begins to call vargas, shell probably avoid your calls or give you what you want to hear. nothing is set in stone, they could possible put a hold on the upcoming classes if the city chooses to. play it day by day, its MTA "might take a while"

im banking on late winter 115x for me. depends how things go with MTA and if deblasio decides to stir up any issues again.

Do you think the group called this month is for the next 3 classes? Or the group called this month is for the June class only?

But I think the highest 112x who got called is to fill the three months available coming up. Not including, like you mentioned those who defer or get put on hold. They always call extra just in case for standbys, I’m guessing the folks in PE these next few might even spill over late summer months of 9/10/11 if they have a class then.

yea, they wont let you complete the process without fixing it. youll get sent home and rescheduled or put on hold.

yea, on my first P/E there was a guy there with outstanding tickets when we were grouped in the room. the instructor let him pay it right there over his phone online and cleared him once he saw the confirmation.

does anyone know if itll be a problem working 2 jobs while with MTA? I am registered as an home aide and work as a banker associate. im definitely quitting the banking position but would like to keep caring for my family member. wanted to see if anyone was in this position and how the MTA handles dual employment.

list number 112x was the highest number called so far from reading the forums. im list 115x and have not received anything yet, I will post if I receive anything to update the forums.

The folks who got the letters what’s your list numbers? Highest so far I’ve seen is 111x, anyone above that? im sitting at 115x getting impatient lol.

im 11xx I have 4 sections with bunch of info on the right of the list.

Been very quiet, even the school car forum quiet down a bit. Markguy called Vargas a few weeks back, she told him to call back to see if there’s any changes. But once this forum starts up again I bet that’s when folks start receiving their letters.

It could be used for many reasons. One is To help expedite background checks, name validations etc. having a nys license means another city agency already went through some type of paper work to authorize a legal state identification. Processing 1000+ individuals each year accurately is not an easy task. Especially one where you let one bad apple through, all that can fall on the MTA and could risk peoples lives because a thourough background was not conducted. i do agree with saying having a license don’t mean you can drive a train. Some have a license and can’t even drive! I believe there’s more to it than we know. If they allow a license as proper ID to fly domestic. There has to be more to it than just to say “you can drive” with it.

seems like they created this class just to get the promo's/deferrals in since their numbers were already passed over. doesn't mean they'll start back with full hiring mode just taking care of those that was passed over.

I hear ya with the bills and stuff but we have to look at it this way, we weren’t suppose to be called until probably 2022 or so. If it wasn’t for the circumstances were actually ahead of the game. I’m 11xx too and I’ve learned to not stress it and just keep doing what you’re doing as if this job never existed. Keep applying to jobs, keep looking all over, don’t throw all your eggs in a basket.
