  1. Anyone try calling the DCAS automated number to see if their names on the list? Tried this morning and my social is not even coming up for this exam. Prob not ready to release it to the public but wanted to see if it was for everyone.
  2. Tbh they are right about how the papers are stacked. They call us in by list number, but how we return the forms they don’t reorganize by that. If they call 300, first 300 hundred to complete medical/testing etc gets priority. They don’t hold your number and wait until you’re finished. If you feel somethings wrong I would go to the office in person and ask to speak to someone. Everyone’s probably swamped trying to get this class started and won’t give you the time of day over the phone since they think you’re just someone asking a BS question.
  3. Yup, I’m sitting at 11xx’s. We prob won’t hear anything until sometime next year, just a guess. 1-300 - just for prov. 200-500 start of first OC class 400-700- 2nd class 600-900 3rd 800-1100 4th I’m estimating/give or take a hundred for folks that defer they’ll end up in the next class first, or some get disqual. that may push some folks up the line. Also depends how many classes they get through in a year may change our timeframe
  4. Does anyone know for sure how many TO classes they have in a year?
  5. That’s a typical paternity leave for most companies. maternity is usually 3/4 months depending if it’s natural/csec. With the new law in play you may have to call HR to get the exact answers.
  6. Wouldn’t it affect everyone? For instance if the whole class either gets and extra point they’ll move forward a score and bump people down and the other way around if they got it wrong the folks behind him will get bumped up. Another factor would be on how they place tie breakers, they use your social to place you someone with the same score. Someone that was 300 could possibly get pushed to 400-500 now depending on how many scores gets changed and their last 4 digits of their social and again could make and break someone’s placement on this exam depending on their scores.
  7. Would you or anyone know what the passing requirements are for medical? Urine/Drug= Must pass neck/sleep= BMI %? blood pressure=? +/- glucose/sugar = ? +/- anythign else I’m missing? list#11xx
  8. Just wear what they ask, why try your luck of getting sent home and being embarrassed if they call you out? If you don’t have a suit and tie, I suggest khakis and a button down shirt should be sufficient. Just don’t be that 1 guy that rolls in with shorts or streetwear. at my current position I have sent home many individuals male/females because of that. We see it as if you can’t follow basic rules, what rules can you follow as an employee? Also the MTA is a mandatory uniform wearing company, rules are rules.
  9. would you or anyone know how many classes do they have per year & how long is each class? just trying to gauge when to start expecting something in the mail. I am guessing 60 individuals each class from reading the forums? to get the 60 they go through 200/300 individuals. list#: 111x
  10. yes, the gaps in the middle they would have to account for. ex. living with my family unemployed/school/self employed. does the mta ask for exact months? I assume they only needed a range to show you actually held the jobs long enough to meet the NOE's criteria.
  11. employment records from social security office, it gives you full detail and time frame of every position you've held on the books. https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ssa-7050.pdf
  12. When I took the FF exam I too had to explain the situation. I was arrested as a teen 13/14 yrs old in a school fight, some kids tried to steal my bookbag but because the cops saw us all fighting we were all taken to the local precinct, everything was dropped like your situation. I choose to list it in case they perform the background check and something comes up but what I needed was a disposition letter from the court (county I got arrested in) stating there is nothing under my name. That letter was necessary during investigations for me to pass
  13. was the 50$ report sufficient for MTA? other city jobs i signed up for required the $150 something dollar one with the full details.
  14. when I went through background check for a different exam (2000) which was also handled by dcas, I asked for a disposition letter, the court took my name and SS# and provided me with a letter that was under my name. I forgot how much the fee was but it was minimal, I went in with that form which had the court seal stamped and it was approved and didn't give me any issues. I believe you only list any arrests on the documents, not every time you've been to court.
  15. if folks are dropping like flies, there may be a good chance. if what everyone's saying is true that they're almost up to the 1000's already anything can happen but don't throw all your eggs in one basket. even if you get called, will you pass medical/background/car? lots of variables that can play to your advantage and disadvantage.
  16. I did not, tbh I took this as a fail safe job along with other city jobs and luckily I scored well enough on #7604. I’m in finance right now but I lack the college education to get me where I would like to be and we all know how job security in finance is. This would atleast be job security in my position.
  17. I’m in the 111x range as well, I only received the letter with list # and score.
  18. For those of us who comment that the “received a notice” or “went in for med” can you add a range at the end of your comments so we can keep up to date how far in we are?? Example. I went in for medical today and there were 20 people 5xx, or I got my letter today 11xx
  19. that's awesome to hear, lol I don't mean to be an a%% but the more you guys delay the better for me. im taking it if they offer it, not going to risk anything to lose the opportunity by waiting.
  20. im in the 11xx's haven't received anything but the letter with score and list #.
  21. to add onto things, I got a moving violation ticket a few months back (3pts) failure to yield, this is my first ticket and points for over 10+ years of having a license. I plead guilty and paid the ticket, would anyone know if thatll cause any issues?
  22. same here, got my letter 11xx. anyone know an estimate of how long that may take given everything runs smoothly?
  23. Anyone know what they measure on the medical? I do have slight high BP
  24. The list exist, just not released to the public to view. That is how some of the guys who did go in got their numbers, if you look back at some other post some guys added them to their post.
