  1. Hopefully you get into the September 21st class most likely you will, as long as you're are clean(not saying you just in general) then you'll get another email for the medical 👀
  2. thank you cant wait to eventually work with any of you! You guys/gals are amazing in every way possible.
  3. You're welcome anytime that's what we are all here for! To help everybody at all times, like I mentioned before ask us all questions and we'll answer if we have an answer!
  4. What made it worse was when my TSS in c/r school car was saying how impossible and hard af t/o school car is, so im going in over thinking everything 🤣 .
  5. Gotta help me calm my nerves with the signal exams and the practicals 🤣🤣
  6. Yup I couldn't agree more with you on that one, just make sure you both know your job for the 8 or more hours, like yesterday there was a fight at 125 near my train operator's position close to the platform edge, and once they got inside our train near her position RCC and the TSS were telling me to close down so I said on the radio "I'm not going to close down and move this train unless they get off our train im not going to potentially endanger my train operator." And then when the 2 guys fighting got off the train RCC was like conductor close down I was like "no there's a 4 train with their doors opened and passengers are trying to get in our train, you know that i can't slam them with the doors and im operating as per school car." After I said that they stood shut 🤣
  7. Just like @Riku said its not hard just in the end know your job, and don't listen to the TSS when they say that a train operator is your enemy lmao 😂 when i become a train operator i definitely won't be an enemy to any of my partners we're a team for 8 hours, but obviously if i go BIE and charge up and go pull that chord on me and let RCC know 🤣🤣🤣
  8. Whats your list number anyways, don't post your actual list number. But you can always call the DCAS and see the number of the last appointed and go from their and see if they say anything about being on the primary list.
  9. Make sure to read the rule book that they give you once you're sworn in, and to read the conductors book that you get in school car to follow up on any bulletins that pertains to your job as a conductor and other bulletins that supercede a ton of other stuff, the bulletin book you'll also get in school car, i wish I could share the books with you but I have them at home and don't know how to share certain information, or if I'm legally allowed to as well. The midterm and final exam for conductor is easy as long as you studied and remembered stuff that your TSS will repeatedly drill into your head until you're dreaming of transit, like I've been doing since I've started 🤣. And the practicals you have to pass are nerve wracking because the TSS watching you can't help you just do everything by the book no shortcuts or you'll fail the practical which if you fail they'll have you do it infront of the director or a superintendent. So you have 2 shots of trying, the final practical is actually on the road itself with a superintendent watching you. And I believe you can keep your tier 4 when you get into union hall you can ask them how would you go about doing that because I'm in tier 6 and it's hot garbage.
  10. Yeah the signal exams you need a 100 on, because when you're out by yourself imagine coming across a signal and you're like oh crap what does that signal mean? There's a ton of signals and I'm nervous 😓 but I've had people who are train operators send me signal guides to study from but remembering their definitions verbatim is going to be challenging. But like you said being a conductor did help with knowing certain signals like i have a few memorized. But the pay and the me wanting to become a TSS if whats driving me to become a train operator.
  11. It's a good job, but comes with stresses as you'll learn once you're out on your own. Outstanding certification means they are reaching your number on the list, from what I understand. I was on an outstanding certification and also primary list and got called for the pre employment last month, to come in this month for the drug test and etc for train operator. And I lovr questions as long i have the right answers to satisfy everyone 😁. Everybody deserves to understand what's going on because i was like one of you guys waiting and now im a conductor so I understand the feeling of wanting to know as much as you can. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask that goes for anyone in here!
  12. Well so far I'm going through the process for train operator and the process should be the same as for conductor. So after the drug test process and if the person passes they will send you an email telling you to fill out more paper work that you will have to bring to your medical appointment. I went for my drug test this past Friday and got an email to go in for my medical for train operator yesterday. I'm excited to see all my new co workers! Both conductors and train operators! Ready to rock and roll under these tubes! I've been a conductor so far for a year and 2 months, so if anybody has questions while in school car for conductor feel free to ask me any questions or advice and I'd be happy to help all of you guys/gals
  13. That would be the September 21st class im assuming? That's a small class which is a good thing easier to teach students who learn differently than others, as in people who are grasp things slower or faster. Hopefully the TSS are good I had Leonard and Aybar as my conductor TSS last year.
  14. Possibly right now they're up to the 1300s, ill find out next week when I go for the medical how many people they're planning on hiring and class sizes and etc.
  15. Lmao 🤣 nope that's @Brytstar, we gotta have @Future4me and you all in the class for September 21st.
  16. Probably the medical part usually after the drug test comes the medical at least from what I've noticed when i was going in for conductor
  17. Wth only got 3 attachments probably because I'm already employed as a conductor? Hmm I wonder 🤔
  18. Only thing I received was 3 attachments and the "biggest" packet was 12 pages is that the same one youre talking about?
  19. Thats silly that even though you work for the city that you still have to bring a money order in, when i say the price I was holy crap. Did they send that big homework packet in the email because I didn't receive that big packet in the email 🤔
  20. It should come in soon because if you and I went on the same day I don't see why you wouldn't receive it, because @Brytstar said she went on Thursday and received her email today.
  21. Oh whats up bro! Yeah it came from transit, keep checking your email, im surprised the results came back as fast because the nurse i was with told me 2 weeks until the results 😄
  22. From the email we received are we supposed to fill out the documents through pdf and send them out or print them out and bring them with us?
