  1. If anything if they have you start on the 10th you could always call Ms.Vargas and explain to her or ask her for advice she's really helpful!
  2. On the green paper it says slacks or khakis, so I guess stick with those just to play it safe?
  3. I hope I dont regret the rockports now I was going to go with the caterpillars but I wasn't sure
  4. What number do you call to get in contact with her I've been trying to get a hold of her for a while
  5. Yeah I just ordered mine this afternoon I got the rockport I hope they're comfortable
  6. List number is 131X but I passed the medical for the conductor. My weight is 211 and my neck size the doctor said was a 16.5.
  7. Anybody got advice on the best shoes to pick from the online store? Also how are we supposed to carry stuff if they dont want us bringing a bookbag like the green paper mentions?
  8. Anybody got advice on good boots to get from the online store that mta sends us?
  9. Would that be two business days or two regular days? Cuz I sworn in Friday
  10. So I'm trying to order my boots but when I entered my pass number and etc it didn't work, so I called the number they gave us and the lady said I have to call my supervisor I'm like I don't have one yet. So do you guys have any idea who should I call because I need the boots by next week.
  11. How hard would you guys say the midterm and practical were I start June 10th school car, and I'm nervous about these mandatory passing exams.
  12. The TWU 100 website states "Negotiations on wages, benefits and other local-wide issues (known as the “main table talks”) will begin within a few days. Management has not budgeted any money for wage increases and has publicly stated they expect us to agree to a 3-yr. wage freeze and a big increase in what we pay for medical. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – that’s not happening! We are determined to negotiate a contract with improvements in both wages and benefits. No one should have any illusions that these talks will be easy. But our goals can be achieved. We are counting on your active support to give us the leverage we need to accomplish this."
  13. Random input but the contract expired may 15th,2019 so we might be getting pay raises soon when they negotiate the new contract with TWU 100.
  14. Why do train operators get paid way more than conductors like a whole 12 dollars more an hour
  15. There's a new contract being worked on right now the lady who sworn me in said.
  16. Thanks bro I appreciate it tha is for giving me the best information I was literally debating today wth to do
  17. Cool thanks do I ask to speak to someone specifically because usually Kevin answers the phone.
  18. I would go to my PE on June 10th but the problem is I start conductor June 10th and have to be at my location at 8am that day and then Tuesday at Coney island at 7am.
  19. Um I wasnt trying to be annoying. I'm simply asking for advice on which to take since t/o pay more. So stop assuming thanks
  20. I also recieved my 2nd PE yesterday list number 131X and they want me to come in June 10th but I was already sworn in yesterday for the conductor position what do you guys think I should do???
  21. Nope I was never placed on medical hold I went in for final processing/medical for the conductor position yesterday and was found qualified. And I think the BMI is 35 and over not 25 come to think of it now.
  22. I think they check for either or my BMI wasnt 25 either but my neck was 16.5 and the doctor cleared me yesterday, and was sworn in yesterday for conductor. You should be fine they just want to make sure you aren't prone for sleep apnea because of the train accident with the metro north train years back.
  23. I have a question guys so I was sworn in today for conductor and starting on June 10th. But today I received my 2nd PE for train operator on June 10th what should I do, I'm so stuck.
