  1. My 20-minute walk is still doable. A 3 hour and 11 minute walk isn't.
  2. I'm talking about if there's a Lefferts Blvd train once after another and the next Far Rockaway bound train is in 30-45 minutes.
  3. Is it possible to tamper with the switch by Rockaway Blvd to temporarily make trains go only to Far Rockaway?
  4. I remember a couple of incidents that there was 3 Lefferts Blvd trains one after another and that the next Far Rockaway bound train was in around 45 minutes. Is there any way to disable the switch at Rockaway Blvd to only allow trains to go to Far Rockaway? It's only a 20 minute walk from Rockaway Blvd to Lefferts Blvd.
  5. There's more trains that go to Lefferts Blvd than Far Rockaway?
  6. Why can't they just alternate between Far Rockaway and Lefferts Blvd?
  7. I got an R68 train for the first time in my life. It was pretty uncomfortable and slow. It had the rollsign on it. I think the R68s are more comfortable on Express trains than local trains.
  8. There wasn't a downpour in Far Rockaway. I was surprised when I saw those photos of stations flooded.
  9. Someone we knew drove me and my mother home and we were faster than a R160 train on the Williamsburg Bridge. It would take 1 hour and 15 minutes to take the to the home to Far Rockaway. I was surprised to see that it only took 37 minutes to get home by car. Why can't the trains be faster?
  10. Everyone else drives to work or drives to the LIRR at an earlier time. I have a part-time job. Starting October 3rd, I'm working from 10AM-4PM. No one is available at those times. My bike's left gears are broken.
  11. I saw 2 R160 trains today. Is the line getting R160s?
  12. Hmm... Looks like my future subway maps are true. Looking forward to the getting extended to Reads Lane!
  13. For those of you who think that the Rockaways have very low ridership, then your wrong. Here are pictures of people on the Rockaway for proof:
  14. Why don't they have much choice? After a Lefferts Blvd train passed by my train express, there was 2 more Lefferts Blvd trains. That was 3 Lefferts Blvd trains in a row.
  15. I was so pissed off from my train ride home from Samsung 837 today. What happened was I got on the train at 14 St. When the train got to Jay St-MetroTech, they announced "Due to delays in train service, this Queens-bound train is going local". When the train got to Clinton-Washington Av, a Lefferts Blvd-bound train bypassed my Rockaway Park-bound train. It was very unfair to me since it's much longer to get to the Rockaways than it is to get to Lefferts Blvd. They should have made the Lefferts Blvd-bound train behind my train go local instead. I was angry enough that I got off at Nostrand Av and checked when the next Rockaway Park-bound train was and it was a half an hour away. I then attempted to go uptown so I wouldn't be waiting on a hot platform but there wasn't any crossover. I went out of the station and crossed Nostrand Av, entered the station on the other side of the street, swiped my monthly metrocard at the turnstile and got in but I was still on the downtown platform. I took a Lefferts Blvd-bound train to Utica Av (that went express) and got off. I checked the countdown clocks and it said that the next Rockaway Park train was 25 minutes away. Utica Av has a crossover so I went to the uptown platform, waited 5 minutes for a Manhattan-bound train and took it to Hoyt-Schermerhorn St. At Hoyt-Schermerhorn St, I got off and went to the downtown platform. 1 minute later, a Rockaway Park-bound train came and luckily went express. I got off at Beach 90 St to catch the to Far Rockaway but right when the train arrived at Beach 90 St, the to Far Rockaway closed its doors and left. I had to wait 15 minutes for the next to Far Rockaway. 10 minutes later another train arrived at Beach 90 St dumping more people onto the platform. It was very unfair. The to Far Rockaway finally came and I went in the last car because it was the least crowded but still a lot of people. When the got to Far Rockaway, I checked the MTA Bus Time app for the next bus going towards my house and it said 15 minutes. It wasn't worth waiting 15 minutes for a bus which only drives me 8 out of 20 minutes of the way so I walked home. Yesterday, my Rockaway Park-bound train went local as well with the same "Due to delays in train service, this Queens-bound train is going local". The is treating Rockaway customers second-class. This needs to stop!
  16. It was cold on my train coming back home today when I got on at Fulton St.
  17. Why did I see an R42 in the Rockaways on the test track one day and pulling out of broad channel another day?
  18. There's no UPS Stores <= 20 minutes from my house. I don't like walking so much.
