I’m OA(MaBSTOA)...boss exam is only for TA (NYCTA) BUS Operators...the process is the same as conductor only thing difference is you don’t have to do that booklet that’s consider “homework” Yup everything...it was frustrating going to 180 early in the morning then wait 4-6 hours just to get your name call...but it will be worth it

Sorry but you are going to have to do everything all over again speaking from experience with my hiring process for exam 4105 (bus operator) reason being is the employment history expires as well everything has a expiration date only thing I did not have to do over was fingerprinting and hearing test reason being: it is good for a year

Thanks I’m still doing research and I know there is a thread on this but I can’t find it , but on your knowledge which union is better twu or ATU? I’m just trying to plan my steps ahead i will be moving to Staten Island so i want to go to a ATU base depot but I know for a fact the money is at with a twu base depot in the city I also read somewhere that even though the starting rate is $23.84, but depending on which depot you go to (rep. ATU or TWU) the payrate differs

During the 7-10 training they give you weekend off correct?

Update * i was reinstated finally! I start training July 9th I will definelty make sure I have a tie on this time lol I just want to thank @SevenEleven for the advice and encouragement you was very informative man thanks!!! i just have one last question that I’m confuse about: (well two but I’m going to do my own research on rather which union is better and which depot gets paid more ATU or twu I’m currently with ATU local 0732 down here in Atlanta) My appointment papers state If you have a out of state CDL (which I do have) you need to bring a drivers abstract on my first day but at 180 Livingston street they instructed me to transfer my out of state CDL ASAP or I won’t be able to proceed on with the training I even ask the people at zerega my first time there before i was sent home they said that it doesn’t matter what state the CDL is from while in training as long as it is valid and clean...I’m afraid of getting sent home again so I want to know for sure if i was told the right information by either 180 Livingston street or the people at zerega....I know I’m eventually going to have to transfer my Georgia license to ny but I want do it once I officially finish the 7-10 day training (anything can happen) also my current job (Marta which is Atlanta version of mta) put you on hold once you surrender your Georgia state CDL

Those people list numbers are lower then 6127 like me for instance my number is 5541 so who ever number is lower then me will get a email to come in for final process before me and so on

Oh no I was referring to the people thats already in the pre employment process (came to 180 Livingston street took a drug test and now waiting to get a email for final processing/full body medical)

Update guys:did you get a email to come back for medical yet? If not it’s because they send them out in list# order so if you were a recall or on medical hold you have to wait until they reach you in that order

Keep the fam updated every day in class what to expect what garage is open what train equipment is better the whole nine yards

The earlier you are the quicker you leave but that’s nothing wait until you go back for final processing (which is full body medical where They Check your hearing vision and weight) the wait is so much longer up to the point they close

Recall on June 12th got a email today stating to come in for final processing next week,keep in mind test results only take two days to get back the Next class is July 9th this list is fairly old compare to the conductor list therefore waiting 3-90 days is not likely because they are already at the bottom of the list

Not in ya list range (#1292) but I know first hand they are calling a lot of ppl in for final processing (for July class)I was there (180 Livingston street) doing my final processing yesterday for B/O I say you definitely getting a call back for September...also I was speaking to several ppl in the waiting area....alot of people was resigning to go over to OA B/O maybe that will speed up the process as well

Just got off the phone with Ms chestnut the next class is for July 9th

Nah I don’t think that’s true I mean they are already pass 530 hired and I saw more going through the final processing phase Today, I just left 180 LIVINGSTON STREET doing my PE for the 4105 Exam (Bus Operator) and this is what I was told by the HR’s when I ask for Information on the 6601 exam.....

Medical and drug test is valid for 90 days so just do the math from the day you took your medical and drug test....when you go to PE again just notify them of your situation and bring the medical documents with you the copy they gave you after doing your physical and drug test

Yeah I was hired ..my first day was April 2nd at zerenga depot in the Bronx they sent me home for not wearing a tie with a long sleeve shirt

Yeah they do two drug test...when you get your email stating to come back for the final processing phase that’s when you do your second drug test but They don’t check for drugs actually if I’m not mistaken it’s for diabetes and something else in your system...with all this being said you would have to do the urine test again wait for the results to come back then go on to the final phase

Yeah that’s true but that still don’t explain why send out another packet (the packet is your employment history school and resident history )all that stuff should be in your file your file does not get thrown away,if the drug test expire in 30 days you suppose to be notify..like me for example I’m on the list for OA BUS OPERATOR I did everything that needs to be done my first day was April 2nd (long story short I got sent home for being out of uniform) I just received a call Tuesday to come in and do a drug test I ask her do I have to do everything over again she said “No,your information is on file and I’m looking at it you just need to do another drug test” I told her I didn’t recieve another PE in the mail she said “Sir! Drug test! Tuesday June 12th 7:30” lol

Yeah but you got to be realistic too if every class holds 40-60 and classes are held every month you still got to wait at least late 2018 or early 2019 depending on your list number
