I heard from an employee that school car runs year-round as long as there is still demand for the position. Im hoping to hear back from them by the end of this month since my drug test expires the 31st.

IIRC, it's approximately 3 months. You do get paid during school car.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s likely that you’ll have to wait until next year, if not longer.

It's most likely that it has, considering we haven't heard news of anybody else receiving the medical email.

Ah, understood. Yeah, so the list still won't be released. But that's also good news for those of us who have gone through PE. Apparently, when they release the list, they start canvassing from the top all over again. If they do not release it this month, then those of us in the 450-700 range have a shot at getting called before they do.

I'm sorry, but I'm confused. So they will not be reaching out to anymore people for PE from the list, but will continue to hire provisionally from the people whose PE they have already processed?

When you say "activating the list" do you mean releasing the DCAS list and starting from the top again? Or does this mean that they will not be reaching out to candidates anymore for this month?

It seems like they have stopped emailing for medical for the time being. Perhaps the August class was filled. I wonder what the highest list # they got to was. Somebody said 438 in a previous post.

Not yet, unfortunately. I’m sitting in the upper 600’s. Hoping to hear back by the end of August so I don’t have to do the PE drug screen again.

You’d be surprised how many people fail the drug tests. As we are all aware, we get very little notice when they ask you to come in for processing. Some people will be caught unaware and be unable to “cleanse” themselves before the test.

At this point in the process, I’m going to assume that those of us that did PE from 5/29 - 5/31 won’t be emailed for medical until approximately the end of July or later. I’m basing this assumption purely on the information that the highest number called for medical was in the 300’s. So, enjoy your summer ladies and gents. We already waited a year, and some more than that. What’s another few months? We also might be pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, I’m in the 600’s as well. I’ve decided to just enjoy the summer and if it comes, it comes. Keep in mind that school car training involves walking structures and walking the tunnels. Do you really want to be walking in the tunnels during the late summer heat? I mean, I’d do it in a heartbeat, but I wouldn’t be mad if we don’t do it until September either lol.

For all the members who have went through the final processing - How much does the money order payable to DCAS need to be? I think I read somewhere that it was $89. $80 for fingerprinting and $9 for the Constitutional Oath. Can anybody confirm?
