  1. Nope, he was nervous about the job since day one. Day 1 and 3 are the days you should be the LEAST worried because the Union reps talk about all the good and happy stuff (benefits, vacation, pay, etc.)
  2. This man knows what he’s talking about. We’re on day 3, today is union day and getting safety equipment. The real meat and potatoes don’t start until next week. Don’t worry, I’ll do my best to give updates.
  3. Someone from my class quit today. He was too nervous about the job. Probably for the best since he was freaking out since day 1.
  4. Yeah man, it’s just unfortunate that he’s A division. I’m in B, so I’m trying to figure out who my class got. I’m okay with TSS Rivera or Roberto.
  5. That’s honestly up to your TSS’. My first day of school car wasn’t too bad, I was pretty excited to get the show on the road, my nerves were minimal because I knew that we wouldn’t working with equipment yet. They will explain the timeline of schoolcar, what to expect, rules and regs, etc. The general feel I got from the TSS’ were that they really want you to pass. As per our induction TSS’, they will do everything in their power to help you get everything understood. Of course, until I meet my class instructor and get some time in, I cannot confirm yet. Just make sure you put in the work, pay attention, and treat this as a once in a lifetime opportunity, because it is. We had TSS Lois running us through induction and the guy’s a hoot. Funny guy, but makes sure to stress important details. I think I’ll be meeting my class instructor this week. Here’s hoping we get a good one. Even if it’s hard to sleep the night before due to excitement, try. Falling asleep in class is a huge no-no.
  6. For those of you in the medical/final processing phase, or even if you’re doing PE and will eventually start school car: I suggest you get used to military time as soon as possible. Let your loved ones know that this will be a lifestyle changing career and that you may not be able to engage with them as you normally would before joining transit.
  7. Damn we just missed each other’s classes. Good luck my friend, and you too @TO legacy! I’m already telling my class now, no man left behind, we’re pushing for 100% success rate.
  8. What’s up brother. I’m here! Got B like I wanted. Only 1 person didn’t get the division he wanted. I picked dead last.
  9. Don’t forget guys and gals. We’re going to 195 Montague today, not 130 Livingston. Being told to wait outside since “it’s not 7 am yet”.
  10. Going in for my first day tomorrow. I wanted to thank everybody on this forum for their insight and knowledge. Will provide updates if requested and if I have time lol. Shooting for B division!
  11. Someone on this same thread said something to the effect of; “DON’T f**kING LIE!” I recall them mentioning that TA doesn’t even care if you were convicted of a crime, just don’t lie about it. I suggest you hope that they don’t find out about it, because if they do, they will pull you from whatever step you’re up to in the process. People have been pulled out of school car because the TA found out they lied about something in their application.
  12. Every time I went in for PE and drug test, the sample collector was VERY clear to not flush the toilet. The reason being that the water in the toilet is treated with some sort of chemical that would react if something is up.
  13. If you read through the thread you’d see instances of people going in for 2-3 preemployment sessions. They’re not even up to your number yet. Relax. Some of us waited 6-7 months to hear back from Livingston. Even if they found something on your drug test, they would call you to discuss the results (or so I’m told). If you’re clean, then you don’t have anything to fear.
  14. Speaking about KaKa bags, I actually opted to not get a KaKa bag because I’m afraid that there’ll be some confusion and I end up with someone else’s bag. For those of you who want other options, you can look up Witzman bags on amazon. They allow you to hide the back straps and carry it like a tote just like KaKa bags; but they look less tactical.
  15. That’s really weird considering I’m 73* and I’m in the Dec 17th class. Did your friend defer / get placed on medical hold before? I just find it hard to believe that 9 people filled up the Jan class. My buddy was doing medical same time as me on Friday and he was 74*.
  16. Good luck to you pal! Hope everything goes smooth. If you wear glasses, bring them! Don’t rely on your contacts. Go over your paperwork with a fine-toothed comb, because that attention to detail will make the interviewers job much easier and therefore quicker for you to get your picture and fingerprint taken.
  17. Thanks brother That’s why the graduation rate from this class is going to be amazing. Study groups and mutual support let’s go!
  18. DM’d you bro. Sorry to hear about the medical hold! Shoot me any questions you have and I’ll answer to the best of my ability. Hope everything gets cleared up ASAP and you get into 17-Dec.
  19. Yeah, you list every position you’ve held while on the workforce. If that job was your first and current job, you only need to fill that in, then write unemployed from when you graduated high school til you started that job.
