speaking of these switch replacements -- has an ever been rerouted to CPW until now? also, where do they get the shuttle buses from? surplus from weekday-only routes? reducing service on other routes?

True -- that's why I was thinking "Why would they build that?" But, they might build a tram to supplement the Bx15, M60SBS, M100, and M101 on 125 St, connecting to the and MNR.
Are there any trams (such as the BQX) that actually might be built sometime in the (somewhat) near future? And, am I wrong that there was a proposal to link 116 St to the 125 St MNR station if West Side Access is built?
Where can you walk on the Rockaway Beach Branch? I think it is legal if you stay in Forest Park, but not sure. Could anyone tell me where the entrance to walk on the branch is and if I need any special maps/equipment?

The 175 has virtually no MCIs -- have seen/tracked none recently. As for the 171, I'm pretty sure it has MCIs b/c it runs on Rt.4 almost its whole route.
