  1. I feel like they should make it four tracked, including the existing portion Express stations: 125th 96th 72nd 42nd 14th Houston St Hanover Sq they also should extend the line into the Bronx and Brooklyn, maybe even a branch into Queens It could also be an opportunity to revive the , but obviously not in that color. Before the was revived there were fanmade plans to revive it via 2nd avenue
  2. I know, the reasoning was that one line (not service) was serving 3 branches I saw another one that left the and alone (in Brooklyn at least), introduced the as a QBL local and knocked the to Astoria. The wouldn’t change much.
  3. last night i saw a video where 8th avenue was deinterlined. for some reason, the and are completely removed from Brooklyn and Queens, terminating at WTC, while the and take their place. But then the serves JFK twice.
  4. All the other yards need to take notes from Corona, Jerome’s R142s look like they just stepped out of war zone, or so i heard
  5. the original plan was wild tho, you should never get rid of a select bus service
  6. what’s the point of eliminating the current Q48 and making a new one from scratch, obviously I have no room to talk as I haven’t lived in NYC for over 7 years.
  7. it seems like the 125th stations get worse the more east you go 125th on the has a nice view but on the opposite end 125th on the is basically the trenches
  8. The may have stayed if the stayed on 53rd and the went through the newer 63rd. Then again, 63rd was served by literally every 6th avenue line in the 90s except the . think about it, there was the , and serving it at different times, and the could’ve went on 63rd as well.
  9. How is the a B- ?? i heard QBL service is TRASH on weekends and brooklyn service is AWFUL also how is the also a B, I heard CPW Local riders SUFFER on weekends because there’s no to come to the rescue. I also heard that the is terrible during late nights because it makes 61 stops and it’s infrequent. This ranking is biased as hell. Also is the belief that if it’s in the area take the IRT/number lines true, or is that just a myth?
  10. honestly i wonder what would happen if the 2010 budget cuts went differently than it did (i.e. some routes staying and others going)
  11. i would like to see a map of what this would look like
  12. since not a lot of people know about conquesting, there should be at least a large amount of people who know about subway surfing, there is a news article every other month now about a teen dying from subway surfing
  13. We might get via Montague and back. Plus there are switches to still keep the running to 96.
  14. what there really should be is an announcement encouraging people not to conquest (i.e. stealing rollsigns, pulling emergency brakes etc.)
  15. Just realized the R179 display is different from the R160s, notice the E
  16. the most iconic rolling stock on each line - R62A (mostly all we’ve seen for over 30 years) - Redbirds, but the 142s have been on long enough - R62 - R62, though i’ll give credit the 142A - i guess the 142s though i think there were also redbirds - 142As, 62As are okay but some older rail fans might not agree - REDBIRDS - i guess i’ll say 44/46 - R40 Slants - R32s, no arguments - i guess the 68s - 32s, though the 160s may have already reached that status, as it’s all it’s seen for nearly 15 years - 46s 46/68s - 32s/40s/42s - 143s, running on that line for over 20 years, i’ll give it credit. though the 42s are also iconic (kinda wish there was a circle brown M bullet) - 42s - 32s/68s/160s depending on the decade, now that they’re off the N, some people might appreciate it more - 68s/160s - same with the N - 46s - depends on what’s shuttle it is - 40Ms/42s/46s - 40 slants/68s
  17. i’m sure the 160s won’t be too far behind in retirement, the newest 143s were delivered in 03, the oldest R160s were delivered in 06 even then i still cannot imagine the R143s retiring
  18. is there any word on when Jamaica and Broadway-7th Avenue will happen. Also my speculation for why Lexington CBTC is postponed is because the MTA still hasn’t awarded the bid for the R262 to any company yet, and spreading out the R142/A’s would leave severe service gaps.
  19. so they’re favoring the IND and setting aside the BMT and IRT. Here’s my predictions for which lines will get it after QBL Culver 8th Avenue 6th Avenue Crosstown Lexington Avenue 7th Avenue Astoria No word on when they plan for Broadway and Jamaica CBTC and for other lines in Brooklyn & The Bronx like (Eastern Pkwy, White Plains, Jerome, Dyre, Pelham, Brighton, Fulton, Concourse, West End, Sea Beach, 4th Avenue)
  20. I’ve been having this thought for days, if the double letter services remained into the 80s to become single lettered services, what letters would they become routes like and would be obvious but what about routes that wouldn’t have been easy, like the which was eliminated back in 1976, it obviously couldn’t have became for obvious reasons.
