    Does anyone know if the grading for that test is based on how many questions were answered correctly or how many questions can we can answer? (Please read my question for this thread carefully before commenting.)

    Got my signals and definitions that I need to memorize and study for, for my conductor exam that’s coming up soon. I heard that ain’t no cakewalk compared to other exams.

    Coming from someone who is scheduled to take the signals and definitions exam for the position, I’ve been having a rough year so far. One of my issues concerns with having lost 8 of my close friends I used to hang out with whenever I wasn’t working. You’re not the only one with issues, don’t forget.

    Oh nice, I got it too. I think you just have to wait until the end of this month for them to send us the study guide. Don’t forget to confirm your attendance though.

    Okay, so I got another exam invite for assistant conductor also along with custodian driver. I have to take 2 exams this month with the company. Does anybody know what is covered on these exams and what I have to study? Thank you.

    I know I’ve posted this before, but it has been a while since some people have gotten passed pre screening for that position. Has anyone been invited for an exam yet?

    Off topic, but have you heard anything about them sending out the next invitation for the terminal attendant exam? I’m waiting for it to come up in my email every day

    So some of you may already have received an email to take the exam for the job. What is up with the job status saying “position filled” on my end when they’re starting to invite people or fill the vacancy?

    When me and another person applied on here, we didn’t get any emails and it says the position was closed and filled a long time ago. When did you apply to this posting?

    Oh that’s for New York City Transit. This is Metro North Railroad’s thread. It does take a long time to hear back from NYCT when it comes to applications. I have one for a non-NYCT agency, which is SIR-Conductor and I haven’t heard back yet either.

    Your story is kind of interesting though. I do have flashbacks to some of the people I was very acquainted with in the past. There are some people who I’ve been trying to win over as friends for many years now and I have yet been able to win their approval for friendships. It’s the same analogy as me trying to get into MTA as a professional career and I’ve yet to land one interview except pass pre screening for terminal attendant.

    I think getting your foot in the door is all what matters. When you pass probation like mango said, you can try to apply internally to other positions. If you want to move over to LIRR or something, it’ll be easier for you to get in than someone with no MTA experience. Idk… I might stay with Metro North because changing departments might take more work. Never say never when there is a potential that MNR can pay equally as LIRR later on.

    It seems like as time passes, MNR can get to LIRR’s level in terms of pay for their employees. Both agencies already get paid way more than NYCT workers and Office of Capital Construction too.

    Mind I ask you if most of the terminal attendants hired have college degrees or only high school diplomas?

    I need to wait for how long until I can get promoted to customer ambassador or conductor if I’m a terminal attendant?

    For this position, do they need a lot of people right now? Also, how many people do they invite for testing for this position?
