When you’re working as a conductor, will management time you how long it takes you to finish an assignment? Or just finish whatever you can?

Scores don’t make sense because they already called out low scorers before that

@drenyce311 @NYYankee @danielhg121 tagged you guys, and wanted to know if everybody who makes it to interview at the end at open house gets invited for signals and definitions or they don’t pick everyone who passed for signals and definitions ? Why do they not call out names if they weren’t going to choose everyone?

Is there going to be a difference between people who take it on April 21st and people who take it on April 28th? I’m taking mine on 28th so I’m curious.

Do all MTA workers have poor interaction skills or something?? Gosh, this whole company seems like a quiet boat with nobody on it, it’s worse than Amtrak.

I’m trying to acquire the study book published by jasper young, but it seems like it has been sold out everywhere. Does anyone know what else I can do to try to get the book or am I screwed with the study book at this point?

Not gonna lie, I was there with you also. Packed my stuff and was ready to leave out that door when they were weeding people out. I was surprised I made it to the end because I thought I did worse than I did last year on the cognitive.

Can you do me a really kind favor? I need to get invited to the next open house for conductor so I can complete the math and end interview sessions now for that job. If you can find out when the next open house, I’d appreciate the help so much!!! thank you!!!

When I was at the open house, they told me they have thousands of candidates applying for these positions. I specifically told them I wasn’t interested in LE and then they said it was on me to follow up with them now on when they’ll have another conductor open house so I can come in. Remember, I passed my cognitive this week and I’m owed one for the second part for at least a year. They called out names of people who didn’t pass and fortunately I made it to the end.

Yeah I try telling people that sometimes, but the only response I get is hate, criticism, or some type of negative reaction instead of people actually listening. Maybe they’ll listen to you more instead. I wasn’t wrong when I said the railroad HR people is messed up sometimes.

If you guys can post the next open house exam for engineers, I’d appreciate it. I have to do double the work just to check up in person when their next conductor open house is. I need to go back when they have it just to take the math portion now.

I passed the cognitive, but I need to come in again for the math portion, and they told me to wait also for another email. I told them I wasn’t interested in the locomotive engineer position and preferred conductor.

You misunderstood the post. That was from last week, and second I wanted to go for conductor, not locomotive. I confused the difference between driving a train and operating a train and some guy corrected me on that. But he kept saying I should go for locomotive. My resume is filled with customer service, I don’t have any kinds of driving experience on me. That wasn’t the point or the intended conversation. Prior to that, I was just saying the HR people in LIRR is pretty unprofessional because they’ve called me and said they were gonna send me a packet for conductor 2 weeks ago right away and nothing has happened since then. I’ve paid expenses to take Uber and the train together to multiple places within the MTA, and nobody could assist me in any way. They’ve been tossing me around here and there.
