It’s the first interview that you need to pass now. The exam isn’t the problem. If they don’t pick you after the first interview, you can forget about making it to the training class. Good luck and I hope they move you forward

Also, best of luck to you if you make it to first interview. Some people have found it to be waste of time passing the exam, but getting rejected after the 3 panel interview. If they don’t choose you after the interview, you’ll have to reapply. I was extremely upset that I didn’t make it to signals and definitions course, but other people did.

Did they have annual postings even before Covid tho?

They keep hiring ppl for this position every 10 months or 12 months because ppl quit right?

Be prepared for the interview. Don’t expect recruiters to be professional about it on the day you need to do the panel with them. Come prepared as much as you can.

I got an email today stating that after submitting my station agent appeal form, additional information is still needed further. Why??

He needs to be more respectful to other members on here. It’s better appreciated because I did nothing to upset him or provoke him.

You don’t need to be an d!ck on the forums. I wouldn’t post anything that has nothing to do with the position I’m applying for. I’m not aware of how many times I’ve asked about the hiring, but a bunch of people on here have made the same requests. Is there a reason you’re nitpicking someone or you’re just nitpicking people on the forums because of how annoyed you are at the subjects? You and I NEVER had interactions, so I don’t exactly know where you’re coming from, from this. I passed the test, but didn’t get the offer after the interview. The question is if I could reapply this year.

Is this whole thing randomized and all luck when it comes to selection or it’s based on credentials and education?? It seems like a game you need to play with them, and HR can do whatever the hell they want…

Honestly, interviews can be vague. It takes time to get to know people.

Has anybody heard back or gotten their list numbers from the test results yet?

I wish people who are going to be on the new station agent list soon can get pulled for conductor just like they did for transit cleaners.

I would suspect MTA knows that bus jobs aren’t in demand as the subway or railroad jobs, which is why they’re probably making this examination free.

When will they have the next motor vehicle operator exam?

I know the test scores are valid for 2 years, but if you don’t get an offer after first interview, how long do we need to wait before we can hit apply on the job posting again? 1 year?

The sad part about this entire thing is you can’t say or do anything about it because you don’t have a union while you’re being hired. It would be more cordial and polite if they kept track of their few applicants and at least provide them an update. It doesn’t have to be a nightmare at all like they’re making it out to be.
