I guess they just realised their mistake as they just said that service has resumed.

According to the MTA: Service Change Posted: 02/11/2013 6:54AM Due to a Winter Weather Advisory, northbound train service is running local from 59 St to 36 St. Please allow for additional travel time. How is this possible when the has resumed regular express service in that segment?

Never mind. He's done it before. It makes no sense..

Can I ask a question? WHERE do you see these things posted? On the official MTA website or a random twitter account? OR do you just come up with them yourself? The latter must be the case as they make absolutely no sense. This is not a fantasy thread.

Where exactly did you see this? It doesn't even look real or phrased in the usual way. And, by the way, it's Mets-Willets Point. And there's no alert for this..

Service Change Posted: 01/25/2013 4:21PM Due to a rail condition at the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue Station: Northbound trains are running local from Queens Plaza Station to Parsons/Archer Station. Southbound trains are running local from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue Station to World Trade Center Station. Both directions trains are running local between the 179 Street Station and the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue Station. Southbound trains are running express from Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue Station to Jay Street-MetroTech Station. There is no train service in both directions between Forest Hills-71 Avenue Station and Chambers Street Station. There is no train service in both directions between Forest Hills-71 Avenue Station and 57 Street-7 Avenue Station. Please allow additional travel time.

Smoke condition. C trains were bypassing the station in both directions.

Please expect delays on the trains at this time. It's been going on for quite a long time.. UPDATE: Service has resumed now anyway...

Does anyone know the total number of train sets used on each line during rush hour?

Well I figured around 75%, since like Grand Concourse said in Queens it's around 40 and like TwoTimer said in Manhattan it's around 95. I would put the Bronx around 82 and Brooklyn around 79. So in my opinion 75% is about right.

I'm talking about NYC in general. Meaning how much of the city's population can get to the subway without taking a bus. A walking distance not greater than 10 minutes.

Do you think it's logical to say that 75-78% of NYC is covered/served by the subway? Personally, that's where I'd put the percentage.
